[player_tooltip player_id="187309" first="Drew" last="Barrett"], Trabuco Hills, 2022
Trabuco Hills needed a win badly against crosstown rival El Toro and Barrett helped lead the Mustangs to a win. The senior rushed for 290 yards on 40 carries with two touchdowns. Both the carries and yardage totals were the second highest of his career. He likely has the school-record for single season rushing yards at Trabuco and if he had a full junior season, he would likely have the all-time record at the school.

[player_tooltip player_id="25271" first="Max" last="Garrison"], St. Francis, 2022
St. Francis has one of the more fun offenses to watch in Southern California. Garrison had a big game for the Golden Knights in a shootout against Crespi. He rushed for 262 yards on 25 carries and four touchdowns. Garrison and St. Francis have a huge opening playoff game against Irvine who has an elite running back of its own. Garrison is committed to San Diego State.

[player_tooltip player_id="179961" first="Donovan" last="Harvey"], Elsinore, 2022
Harvey was a highly-touted running back before the season started. He suffered an injury that caused him to miss a month of the season but he came back stronger than ever. He rushed for 294 yards on 20 carries with three touchdowns in a 44-34 win against Temescal Canyon. Despite him missing games he still has 1,313 rushing yards on the season with 13 touchdowns.

Venasio Mikaele, JW North, 2022
JW North finished the regular season with an undefeated record and it’s largely due to its well-balanced offense. Mikaele and the rushing offense isn’t the most consistent, but it is capable of being dominant and helping the Huskies control the time of possession. The senior rushed for 147 yards and two touchdowns in a 35-20 win over Rancho Verde. JW North faces Capo Valley in its opening playoff game. The Cougars just allowed over 200 rushing yards against Aliso Niguel so Mikaele may have a big game.

Isaiah Pressley, St. Augustine, 2022
St. Augustine had a worse season than they expected but ended its regular season on a high note with a 22-21 win over La Jolla. Pressley is getting hot at the right time and had a career-night against La Jolla. He rushed for 283 yards on 30 carries with two touchdowns for the Saints. Pressley and the Saints earned a playoff spot despite its 2-8 record and will play El Camino.
