We’re now three weeks into the playoffs in the peach state, meaning it’s Final 4 time. We saw a ton of players step in in a big way in round three this past weekend, leading their teams a step closer to the state championship.
Here are some top performances from this past weekend’s games...
[player_tooltip player_id="137483" first="Jeremy" last="Hecklinski"] - QB - Walton
The Walton Raiders appear to be playing their best football right now and they got a breakout playoff performance from Hecklinski, their impressive sophomore QB. With starter Zak Rozsman out, the 2024 gunslinger proved that he has a bright future, leading Walton to an impressive 52-35 victory. Hecklinski was outstanding all game, showing a big arm and the ability to push the ball down the field. He ended the game 13/23 for 269 yards and 4 TDs, winning "Player of the Game" honors in the victory.

[player_tooltip player_id="34011" first="Justice" last="Haynes"] - RB- Blessed Trinity
Arguably the best back in the state, Haynes has been unstoppable all season and has run through defenses throughout the playoffs as well. The 2023 back from Roswell rushed for over 200 yards and 3 touchdowns last week against Woodward Academy and stepped it up this past Friday against Villa Rica, rushing for 5 touchdowns in the convincing 49-7 win. He’s a big play waiting to happen when he has the ball and can score on any particular play. A possible 5-star prospect, Haynes will be able to pick the school of his choosing at the next level.

Malik Harper - RB - Thomasville
In one of the biggest games across the state this past weekend, Harper went off against powerful Rabun County, leading the Bulldogs to a big 49-24 victory. He ran for three touchdowns and made it look easy at times against a tough Rabun County defense. He was shifty, ran with power, and was excellent around the goal-line. He showed great vision and burst when he saw a hole and ran through it with authority. He was excellent and really carried the load at times in the biggest game of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id="33930" first="David" last="Dallas"] - QB - Trinity Christian
The Lions has a heart-breaking loss in the state title game last year, but they’re on track to bring the title home this season thanks to the play of the Dallas twins. David, the Western Michigan QB commit, is having an outstanding senior season and played one of his best games of the season in a 56-7 win over Darlington. The dynamic gunslinger was an efficient 14/20 for 339 yards and 5 TDs in the win, proving he can score quickly. He creates explosive plays and he’s leading an offense that has scored at least 50 points nine times this season.

[player_tooltip player_id="33872" first="Antonio" last="Martin"] - RB - Langston Hughes
The Panthers ran the ball early and often this past weekend in their big 48-7 win over Northside, and star running back [player_tooltip player_id="33872" first="Antonio" last="Martin"] Jr. was a big reason why. The four-star running back is a powerful, bruising runner at 205-pounds who ran hard all night on his way to 95 yards. While he didn’t go over the 100-yard mark, he did find the endzone four times on the night. The goal-line stalker will be relied on more in next week’s matchup against Dacula.

[player_tooltip player_id="95166" first="Rashod" last="Dubinion"] - ATH - Cedar Grove
One of the biggest offense playmakers across the state, Dubinion was unstoppable this past weekend against Crisp County, rushing 27 times for 265 yards and 3 rushing touchdowns in Cedar Grove’s 28-6 victory. The explosive 5-foot-10 185-pounder is an Arkansas commitment who could give the Razorbacks a boost next season as a freshman. He’s shifty, explosive, and can make defenders miss on a consistent basis. He’s had a phenominal senior season and he’s looking to take the Saints all the way next month.
