Reagan Toki, a 7th Grade QB, Offered Scholarship by USC Trojans

While many high school quarterbacks around the country are searching for that first big time scholarship offer, one 7th grader in California just received his.
Reagan Toki, a class of 2027 prospect, was offered by USC over the weekend.
While the early offer may be surprising to some, Toki’s ascent to football success has been in the making for several
years. In 2019 he quarterbacked Los Alamitos to a Pop Warner Westcon Regional Championship and a victory in the Orange Bowl. Then, in 2020, he earned the MVP of the QB Select Camp held at St. John Bosco. At the QB Select Camp he was named 12U MVP over dozens of other campers and awed coaches in attendance in both passing drills and combine testing.
Unfortunately losing his father due to Covid Pneumonia in September, Toki has been a tear on the gridiron displaying what his father instilled in him as a coach. The big righty has a powerful, accurate arm and loves to stretch the field vertically. He is currently lighting it up for the Orange County Buckeyes, under the watchful eye of coach Les Fifita. USC does have a history of early offers to quarterbacks. Back in 2010 then-QB David Sills was a 7th grader, and he too, was offered a scholarship to USC. Sills eventually ended up playing wide receiver at West Virginia and is currently on the practice squad of the New York Giants.
While the jury is still out, and will continue to be out for a number of years, on if this early offer pays off—he will likely have his choice of schools in the Trinity League when his time for high school comes. Nonetheless, the accomplishment is huge for Toki.
