The state playoffs begin in Arkansas this Friday night. It is time to find some of the must-see matchups that can be found throughout the state this Friday night. The state of Arkansas has plenty of great matchups all over the state and it is sure to be an exciting playoff culminating in the state title games at War Memorial Stadium.
<strong>Little Rock Catholic vs Rogers: </strong>
The Rogers Mounties have had an incredibly impressive 2021 regular season. The Mounties finished the 2021 regular season with an 8-2 record and plenty of momentum heading into the state playoffs. Running back [player_tooltip player_id="192960" first="Josh" last="Shepherd"] has had a terrific season against 7-A West competition. Meanwhile, Little Rock Catholic’s quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="155351" first="Preston" last="Scott"] has had an impressive season for the Rockets, and he will look to get going against the Mounties on Friday night.
<strong>Monticello vs Stuttgart:</strong>
One of the more intriguing matchups is taking place in Stuttgart on Friday night. Monticello travels to Stuttgart to take on a talented Ricebirds team. Two players to keep an eye on in this matchup are [player_tooltip player_id="91987" first="Cedric" last="Hawkins"] and [player_tooltip player_id="75144" first="Jaidan" last="Strange"]. Both are players that can take it the distance from anywhere on the field. This is a matchup that has the potential to be a high scoring affair on Friday night.
<strong>Harrison vs Pulaski Academy:</strong>
Pulaski Academy and Harrison is usually a matchup we see a week or two later in the playoffs. However, this should be a fun game to watch this week. Fiser has passed for 3,589 yards and 44 touchdowns this season. Meanwhile, the Harrison Goblins are always ready when it comes playoff time. Look for a high scoring affair with this matchup Friday night.
<strong>Farmington vs White Hall:</strong>
The Farmington-White Hall matchup has the potential to be the best matchup of the night. The Farmington offense has several players that the White Hall defense will need to account for on Friday night. However, the White Hall Bulldogs have a talented quarterback and running back combination of their own. <strong>Little Rock Christian vs Vilonia:</strong>
The Little Rock Christian Warriors are always in the running for a state championship. However, to achieve that goal the road will put in front of them an explosive Vilonia team. This matchup has two great quarterbacks to watch. Little Rock Christian’s [player_tooltip player_id="149571" first="Walker" last="White"] is a quarterback that has terrific accuracy and when he is hot, he can pick a defense apart. Meanwhile, [player_tooltip player_id="75081" first="Austin" last="Myers"] has been nothing short of amazing for Vilonia this season. This game should come right down to the wire on Friday night.
