<div> All of the positional rankings will be based on collegiate projection much like the overall list. Have a look at how I would have Oregon’s LB’s ranked for the class of 2022 as of right now.</div> <div></div> <div></div> &nbsp; 1.[player_tooltip player_id="143908" first="Brady" last="Kopetz"] 6-4 220 Lincoln <strong>(OFFERS; E. Washington, N. Arizona, Portland St, Idaho St, N. Colorado)</strong> Kopetz has separated himself with a handful of D1 offers, also excelling on the offensive side of the ball and showing off his overall athleticism. If he ends up in the Big Sky expect him to be a multi-year starter and all conference type LB. 2.[player_tooltip player_id="108147" first="Kellen" last="Hale"] 6-5 215 Tualatin- The returning 1st team all-league LB has size and flies around. Heading into the playoffs he ranks 2nd state wide in sacks (7) and could be the next athlete offered for the 2022 class. Hale is a viable offensive threat at TE as well. 3.[player_tooltip player_id="28845" first="Royce" last="Fasel"] 6-0 240 Glencoe- Everyone knows the deal when it comes to Fasel. He is an Oregon 6A POY candidate on offense, leading the state in rushing yards (1,784) with 22 TDs. Doing all of this while playing the QB spot. He is an unreal overall athlete who hasn’t necessarily gotten the recognition he is deserving of on the recruiting front. Some university is going to get a steal and figure out where he can play positionally for them. 4.[player_tooltip player_id="28864" first="Zac" last="Waible"] 6-2 215 Lakeridge- Waible will go down as one of the most successful three-year starters in Lakeridge history, leading the state in tackles (120), while earning Three Rivers League Defensive POY honors. His 272 career tackles (11.3 per game) will keep him in the record books. From a recruiting standpoint, he is on the bubble, so the playoffs could determine a lot. 5.[player_tooltip player_id="28863" first="Gavin" last="McGuire"] 6-1 220 Lake Oswego- The TRL D lineman of the year can play a high level of collegiate ball in my opinion. Expect him to transition to more of an LB spot at the next level. He is an absolute disrupter up front and pound for pound maybe the best defensive player in the state. 6.[player_tooltip player_id="28855" first="Spencer" last="McKelligon"] 6-3 210 Jesuit- McKelligon has had a monster senior campaign, playing on the D line, but projecting as more of an OLB. The 3* athlete earned 1st team all-league honors on both sides of the football (DE/TE), as his overall athletic ability is what makes him so appealing at the next level. 7.[player_tooltip player_id="28862" first="Nui" last="Tovey"] 6-3 235 Lakeridge- I don’t give Tovey enough credit. For three years he has been one of the best players in the TRL. The unanimous 1st team, Three Rivers League Defensive Lineman of the Year, has put up some ridiculous #s over the course of his career (189 tackles, 30 tackles for loss, 9 sacks). Much like Waible a lot hinges on these state playoffs and whether or not they can lead the Pacers to a title. 8.[player_tooltip player_id="204549" first="Tyree" last="Blake"] 6-3 215 Jesuit- The two-time 1st team all-league LB is an outstanding overall athlete (basketball) and has the size to do some things if he pursues football collegiately. He is physically gifted and has a legit frame, looking like one of the most versatile backers in the NW. 9.[player_tooltip player_id="108137" first="Zack" last="Schlottmann"] 6-3 235 Glencoe- I’m a big advocate of Schlottmann. He is one of the most versatile athletes state wide and a potential division 1 kicker. Statistically he was ranked in the top 10 in multiple receiving categories on a running team. That said as he will project on D to a higher level of collegiate ball. 10.[player_tooltip player_id="28857" first="Jackson" last="Biedritzky"] 6-4 215 Tualatin- Biedritzky missed his senior year due to injury which was unfortunate. He comes from a football family with D1 genes, earning 2nd team all-conference honors as a Junior. Look for him to come back in a big way at the collegiate level. 11.[player_tooltip player_id="28848" first="Joe" last="Brauckmiller"] 6-4 220 Canby- Another kid who has gone somewhat under the radar. In three years as a starter at Canby he has accumulated 175 total tackles (7.3 per game) with 11 tackles for loss and 6 sacks. He has the frame to add some significant size depending on the position he plays at the next level. Regardless he is one of the best in 5A. 12.[player_tooltip player_id="204607" first="Cayden" last="Palmeri"] 6-4 195 Century- One of the top players in the Pacific Conference, ranking 5th in the state in tackles (84). Palmeri broke out as a Junior earning 2nd team all-conference accolades. He has great size, moving very well from his OLB spot, as some university is going to get a sleeper. 13.[player_tooltip player_id="28871" first="Brycen" last="Indell"] 6-0 210 Thurston- I had Indell listed as my Oregon 5A defensive POY favorite even before his transfer from Willamette. He is somewhat undersized if we are talking projection to the next level, but unquestionably one of the top two-way threats state wide, regardless of classification. 14.[player_tooltip player_id="28899" first="Charlie" last="White"] 6-3 225 Banks- The two-time Cowapa League POY doesn’t necessarily get the recognition he deserves, playing small school 4A ball. The last player to receive similar accolades within the conference is 10-year NFL vet Jordan Poyer from Astoria. Pretty nice company. 15.[player_tooltip player_id="28856" first="Waylon" last="Wolfe"] 6-1 225 Lebanon- Wolfe earned all-conference honors on both sides of the football as a Sophomore, and has been one of the best players from the Valley for three years running. He could play early and be a talented small school athlete.
