Box Score
1st Quarter:
Kindred- Prep Redzone Dakotas ranked QB prospect
[player_tooltip player_id="151179" first="Max" last="McQuillan"] started the gears for the Vikings scoring from 2 yards out.
Kindred 7, Hillsboro-Central Valley 0. End of 1st quarter.
2nd Quarter:
Kindred- A massive run to the house was contributed by RB
Trey Heinrich to kick the momentum gears into the Viking’s wheelhouse going into halftime, and it would only get better.
Kindred 13, Hillsboro-Central Valley 0. Halftime
3rd Quarter:
Kindred- After a tipped ball intercepted by defensive back
[player_tooltip player_id="151183" first="Caleb" last="Klabunde"] (2022), he set the Vikings up in Burros territory were some great passing by
[player_tooltip player_id="151179" first="Max" last="McQuillan"] and a 9-yard run by
Trey Heinrich (2023) got the Vikings some insurance with a three-score lead in the middle of the 3rd quarter.
Kindred 20, Hillsboro-Central Valley 0.
Kindred- Senior QB
[player_tooltip player_id="151179" first="Max" last="McQuillan"] kept his hot streak on this drive Caleb’s twin brother, Lukas for a 53-yard passing touchdown deep in the 3rd quarter.
Kindred 27, Hillsboro-Central Valley 0.
Kindred- Yet again, [player_tooltip player_id="151179" first="Max" last="McQuillan"] found another hot target this time in his backfield as Trey Heinrich picked up his 3rd total touchdown on the afternoon but this time a receiving touchdown from 31 yards out. This would just about seal the deal for the Vikings in the 11B state championship, but I absolutely loved how the Burros kept fighting the rest of this game, despite beating the Vikings during Week 2 of the regular season.
Kindred 34, Hillsboro-Central Valley 0. End of 3rd quarter.
4th Quarter:
Hillsboro-Central Valley- Senior running back
Jace Leshuk broke the shutout for the Vikings by running it in from 16 yards out for the first Burros touchdown of the afternoon.
Kindred 34, Hillsboro-Central Valley 7.
Hillsboro-Central Valley- The only mistake and incompletion Kindred QB [player_tooltip player_id="151179" first="Max" last="McQuillan"] made on the day was to Burros linebacker
Peter Dryburgh (2023) who brought the highlight of the game for the Burros with their second touchdown of the 4th quarter which would, unfortunately, be their last.
Kindred 34, Hillsboro-Central Valley 14
Kindred- We ended the box score how Pat McAfree would like it: For the Brand. Kindred kicker
Jordyn Sunram (2022) got to end her senior season with a 27-yard field goal (that had the distance for 35-40) and a state championship to go along with it!
Kindred 37, Hillsboro-Central Valley 14. Final

Bests of the Game:
Best Play:
Trey Heinrich | RB | Kindred | 2023 Heinrich’s 53-yard sprint to the end zone was the best play from my eyes in the second game of the day. He not only used all that speed he has, but he showed a strong amount of stamina to stay the course for the duration of the run.
Best Stock Riser:
[player_tooltip player_id="174168" first="Riley" last="Sunram"] | DL | Kindred | 2024
Sunram was the most impressive defensive prospect I learned about on Friday afternoon. He did a fantastic job as a run-stuffer closing the gaps for the Vikings defensive front as for the longevity of the game, Sunram and the defensive line only allowed 55 yards rushing on the night. Riley as just a sophomore is already well put-together (6’4 245) and I can’t wait to watch more film on this young man as he will likely be an even stronger push with added speed this offseason. In my eyes, a scholarship-level prospect. Sunram is already a watch-list prospect for us in the Class of 2024.
