Marquez Dortch Marquez Dortch 6'0" | 160 lbs | ATH George County | 2022 State MS | George County
Dortch is and has been one of the most dynamic overall athletes in the state for quite some time. Great footwork that is fluid and smooth. Looseness throughout his body puts him in control. Good hands and feel for the game. Speed that wins in space and closes on the ball and other players well. For this projection is listed as a DB but could easily transition to the WR position on the other side of the ball. Ole Miss commitment.
Trent Singleton Trent Singleton 6'0" | 185 lbs | ATH Raymond | 2022 State MS | Raymond
The Senior from Raymond HS is another guy with potential on both sides of the football. Singleton also stars on the track where he participates in a multitude of events. Raw athleticism that showcases his speed easily. Prototypical CB size with enough arm length to win matchups. Mississippi State commit that we believe best projects on the offensive side as a wideout.
Malcolm Hartzog Malcolm Hartzog 5'10" | 175 lbs | DB Jefferson Davis County | 2022 State MS | Jeff Davis County
The Jeff Davis County area has produced numerous division 1 DB’s over the last several years and Hartzog is well on his way to being the next. Natural playmaker with distinct athletic intangibles. Sees the field well. Loose frame with twitch to it. Not necessarily long or tall frame wise but arms have enough length to be a corner at the next level. Makes plays on the football. Contributes in the run game. Under recruited guy that is going to have his fair share of opportunities.
Ricky Fletcher | Holmes County Central
As is common on this list, Fletcher is a great complete athlete. Huge production on the football field and the track have shown in his high school career. As much length as anyone on this list and contributes with it without being stiff. Fluid player that produces in both man and zone situations. Currently committed to South Alabama which has the feel of a great fit.
Cameron Knox Cameron Knox 5'11" | 180 lbs | ATH New Albany | 2022 State MS | New Albany
Knox has had a huge year for the Bulldogs in New Albany and has everyone in Hattiesburg excited about his commitment. Most likely a WR at the next level, Knox has contributed on both sides as a senior. Good hands flash on both sides as well as technical skills to match his athleticism. Good size with a frame that can bulk on strength if deemed necessary. Projects as a slot receiver for Will Hall at Southern Miss.
Cedrick Beavers Cedrick Beavers 5'8" | 145 lbs | DB Taylorsville | 2022 State MS | Taylorsville
Beavers has been considered a sleeper at DB for quite some time now and that is not changing. I expect him to really turn some coaches eyes at practices leading up to the all-star game. Beavers has been a bright spot for the Tartars on the defensive side leading them with 4 INT’s thru 8 games. The senior DB also has done a great job as a tackler in both the pass and run game. Someone is going to get a late steal here.
