Six of the eight No. 1 seeds for Missouri High School Class 5 districts advanced to the quarterfinals and the other two districts produced No. 2 seeds that advanced. That meant a strong lineup of four quarterfinal games to decide who would advance to the semifinals.

<strong>JACKSON 49, ROCKWOOD SUMMIT 14</strong>
The reigning Missouri Class 5 champions from Jackson kept rolling along, improving to 12-0 with its 26th consecutive victory and earning another berth in the semifinals. Summit (11-1) led 14-0 early, but host Jackson showed how dominant it is by scoring 49 unanswered points to hand the Falcons their first loss of the season. ... Jackson senior QB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="174970" first="Cameron" last="Marchi"]</strong> had another monster game, completing 17 of 23 passes for 513 yards and six touchdowns. Junior WR <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="103407" first="Isaiah" last="Davis"]</strong> caught six passes for 245 yards and three touchdowns. Senior WR <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="96164" first="Kannen" last="Turley"]</strong> caught five passes for 214 yards and two scores. ... Summit senior QB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="172272" first="Mason" last="Brown"]</strong> completed 16 of 32 passes for 240 yards, with two touchdowns and two interceptions. Senior WR <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="99928" first="Drew" last="Krobath"]</strong> caught three passes for 104 yards and two touchdowns, with those two scores giving the Falcons the early but short-lived advantage. Senior RB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="37615" first="Dareonte" last="Turman"]</strong> rushed for 78 yards on 22 carries.
<strong>HOLT 31, CHAMINADE 28</strong>
The magical season for undefeated Holt continued with junior kicker Brayden Burthardt coming up clutch with a 29-yard field goal with 1.7 seconds remaining to give Holt a come-from-behind victory over host Chaminade. The Indians improved to 12-0 and advanced to the semifinals for the second time in school history and the first time since 2003. ... Holt senior QB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="37580" first="Cooper" last="Brown"]</strong> completed 21 of 30 passes for 239 yards and added 46 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries. Senior WR <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="37652" first="Jackson" last="Smith"]</strong> caught 12 passes for 156 yards. Senior RB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="37579" first="Kyle" last="Wuebbeling"]</strong> rushed for 80 yards and three touchdowns on 24 carries and added a 17-yard reception. Senior DB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="37607" first="Isaiah" last="Slaughter"]</strong> and senior LB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="96295" first="Zakhi" last="Johnson"]</strong> led the Holt defense. Slaughter finished with 17 tackles and an interception. Johnson added 15 tackles. Junior DB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="104130" first="Richard" last="Meyer"]</strong> had a key interception late that led to the game-winning field goal. ... Chaminade senior QB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="37535" first="Cameron" last="Epps"]</strong> had another monster game, rushing for 238 yards and four touchdowns on 36 carries. Senior RB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="103075" first="Gary" last="Barbour"]</strong> added 83 yards rushing on 14 carries. Senior DB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="37612" first="Nick" last="Divis"]</strong> racked up 14 tackles. Senior DE <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="37565" first="Grant" last="Finley"]</strong> added a sack, which was his 11th of the season.
<strong>WEBB CITY 35, LEBANON 13</strong>
Webb City, which won District 6 as the No. 2 seed, continued its remarkable late-season surge as it knocked off the No. 1 seed in District 5. The Cardinals scored 21 unanswered points in the second half to pull away for the 22-point victory. ... Webb City senior QB <strong>Cohl Vaden</strong> threw for 158 yards and a touchdown and ran for 56 yards and a score. Junior WR <strong>Dante Washington</strong> caught four passes for 91 yards and a touchdown. Senior RBs <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="232303" first="Cade" last="Wilson"]</strong> and <strong>DuPree Jackson</strong> both scored rushing touchdowns. ... Lebanon rushed for more than 200 yards, but wasn’t able to keep up with the Cardinals in the second half. Junior RB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="232273" first="Cade" last="Muscia"]</strong> rushed 30 times for 78 yards, while freshman RB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="235468" first="Jax" last="Glendenning"]</strong> rushed 11 times for 89 yards.
<strong>FORT OSAGE 35, GRAIN VALLEY 0</strong>
Fort Osage (11-1) needed back-to-back comeback victories to win the District 8 championship but wouldn’t need the same theatrics to win its quarterfinal matchup with Grain Valley, the Indians’ ninth straight victory. Five different players scored touchdowns in the win, including four rushing touchdowns. ... Junior QB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="181613" first="Greg" last="Menne"]</strong> completed nine of 14 passes for 124 yards and an interception and ran for 51 yards on 10 carries. Junior WR <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="101698" first="Larenzo" last="Fenner"]</strong> caught six passes for 89 yards. Senior RB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="178516" first="Javen" last="Hall"]</strong> rushed 16 times for 81 yards and a touchdown. ... Grain Valley junior QB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="181614" first="Caleb" last="Larson"]</strong> completed 10 of 27 passes for 120 yards, with one interception, and ran for 55 yards on 14 carries. Junior WR <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="235494" first="Keagan" last="Hart"]</strong> caught five passes for 65 yards. Sophomore LB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="232452" first="Brody" last="Baker"]</strong> led the defense with 13 tackles. Grain Valley, which defeated Raytown in three overtimes to win the District 7 title, finished the season at 8-4.
