The Missouri High School Class 5 football playoffs were narrowed down to eight districts where the top two seeds met to decide the district championship.
<strong style="font-size: 1rem;">DISTRICT 1</strong>

<strong>Notes: </strong>The juggernaut that is reigning Missouri Class 5 champion Jackson had little trouble with Seckman, winning 52-14 to earn another trip to the quarterfinals. Senior QB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="174970" first="Cameron" last="Marchi"]</strong> threw a career-high six touchdown passes to lead the Indians to their fourth-straight district title. In two district games, Marchi completed 81.8 percent of his passes for 420 yards and nine touchdowns. He added two rushing scores. Senior WR <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="96164" first="Kannen" last="Turley"]</strong> and junior WR <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="103407" first="Isaiah" last="Davis"]</strong> each caught two touchdown passes in the win. ... Seckman junior QB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="101699" first="Cole" last="Ruble"]</strong> ran for 169 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries and threw for 80 yards. In 12 games this season, Ruble rushed for 2,555 yards and 30 touchdowns on 276 carries, an average of 9.3 yards per carry. He completed 51 percent of his passes (52 of 101) for 787 yards, with 13 touchdowns and three interceptions.
<strong>DISTRICT 2</strong>

<strong>Notes:</strong> Rockwood Summit used a balanced effort and strong special teams play to earn a 23-13 win over visiting Eureka to claim the district championship and remain undefeated. Senior K-WR <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="99928" first="Drew" last="Krobath"]</strong> kicked three field goals – from 22, 31 and 33 yards out – and senior QB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="172272" first="Mason" last="Brown"]</strong> and senior RB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="37615" first="Dareonte" last="Turman"]</strong> scored rushing touchdowns. Brown completed 12 of 21 passes for 133 yards. Sophomore LB <strong>Jason Kirk</strong> (5-7, 180) had nine tackles and a sack, while junior LB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="37689" first="Dominic" last="Nenninger"]</strong> had eight tackles and a sack. ... Eureka senior QB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="199039" first="Carson" last="Smith"]</strong> completed 15 of 24 passes for 111 yards, with one touchdown and one interception, and ran for 68 yards. Junior RB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="199041" first="Kevin" last="Emmanuel"]</strong>, who entered the game with 1,640 rushing yards, finished with 75 yards on 21 carries. Senior WR <strong>Mason Mayer</strong> caught a season-high eight passes for 64 yards. Senior LB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="199040" first="Will" last="Nelson"]</strong> had a team-high 13 tackles and finished his senior season with 107 tackles, four sacks and an interception in 12 games.

<strong>Notes: </strong>No. 2 seed Chaminade scored 35 points in the first quarter and rolled to a 55-20 win over Fort Zumwalt North to win the district championship. Senior ATH <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="37535" first="Cameron" last="Epps"]</strong>, an Oklahoma State commitment, had another monster game for the Red Devils, rushing for 375 yards and four touchdowns on 25 carries. Epps, who has mostly played quarterback this fall, now has 1,614 yards rushing this season. He’s accounted for 32 touchdowns (24 rushing, five passing, two receiving and one on a return). Senior RB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="103075" first="Gary" last="Barbour"]</strong> rushed for 111 yards and two scores on 17 carries. Barbour now has 294 yards rushing and four touchdowns in two games. As a team, Chaminade rushed for 529 yards on 47 carries. Senior DB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="37612" first="Nick" last="Divis"]</strong> recorded a team-high 10 tackles and an interception. ... Junior RB <strong>Dewayne Jones Jr.</strong> (DJ Jones) scored two touchdowns for Zumwalt North, which had a seven-game win streak snapped. He returned a kickoff 75 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter and added a rushing score in the second quarter.
<strong>DISTRICT 4</strong>

<strong>Notes: </strong>Holt senior RB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="37579" first="Kyle" last="Wuebbeling"]</strong> had another big performance as the Indians defeated visiting Helias 34-6 to claim the district championship and earn a spot in the Class 5 quarterfinals. Wuebbeling carried 36 times for 253 yards and two touchdowns, giving him 483 yards and six scores in the last two weeks and 1,441 rushing yards and 18 total touchdowns for the season. QB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="37580" first="Cooper" last="Brown"] </strong>kept his strong senior season going as he threw for 165 yards and two touchdowns and added 64 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Senior S <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="96295" first="Zakhi" last="Johnson"]</strong> racked up a team-high 13 tackles and one of Holt’s four sacks. He was an integral part of a defensive effort that limited Helias to just 55 yards on 25 carries. ... Helias, which went undefeated en route to winning the Class 4 championship a year ago, had a nine-game win streak snapped.

<strong>Notes: </strong>University of Missouri commitment <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="96198" first="Tristan" last="Wilson"]</strong> and his offensive line mates powered Lebanon to a three-touchdown lead after one quarter of Friday’s district championship game and helped the Yellow Jackets roll to a dominant 56-26 victory for their second straight district title. Junior RB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="232276" first="Nathan" last="Bartel"]</strong> rushed for 206 yards and three touchdowns on 16 carries, while freshman RB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="235468" first="Jax" last="Glendenning"]</strong> added 101 yards and two touchdowns on two carries and junior RB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="232273" first="Cade" last="Muscia"]</strong> had 88 yards and two scores on 25 carries. Glendenning, a 5-foot-8, 165-pounder, also recorded 10 tackles and two sacks from his outside linebacker spot.
<strong>DISTRICT 6</strong>

<strong>Notes: </strong>Second-seeded Webb City rallied from a two-touchdown deficit to defeat No. 1 seed Carthage, 28-21, to avenge an earlier loss in the regular season, record its remarkable 22nd straight district championship and earn a berth in the quarterfinals. Senior RB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="232303" first="Cade" last="Wilson"]</strong> rushed 24 times for 150 yards and a touchdown. Senior QB <strong>Cohl Vaden</strong> ran for two scores, including the deciding touchdown with just 27 seconds left. ... Junior RB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="101700" first="Luke" last="Gall"]</strong> led Carthage with 133 yards rushing and a touchdown.
<strong>DISTRICT 7</strong>

<strong>Notes: </strong>Grain Valley needed a touchdown drive in the final minute of regulation, three overtimes and a 2-point conversion stop to defeat second-seeded Raytown 38-37 to claim the district championship on Friday. Junior QB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="181614" first="Caleb" last="Larson"]</strong> threw for 137 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 66 yards. He connected with junior WR <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="235494" first="Keagan" last="Hart"]</strong> for four receptions for 93 yards and two scores. Freshman RB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="235499" first="DJ" last="Harris"]</strong> scored two touchdowns. Sophomore LB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="232452" first="Brody" last="Baker"]</strong> led the defense with 15 tackles. ... Senior RB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="96148" first="Zahmari" last="Gary"]</strong> led Raytown with 220 yards rushing and four touchdowns on 30 carries after rushing for 300 yards and five touchdowns in the district semifinals.

<strong>Notes: </strong>No. 1 seed Fort Osage needed its second straight comeback victory to defeat Platte County 22-20 and win the district championship. Fort Osage trailed 14-0 after one quarter, 14-7 at halftime and 20-19 after three quarters before a 25-yard field goal by Xander Shepherd with 7 minutes 16 seconds remaining gave the Indians the advantage. Shepherd also kicked the game-winning field goal in Fort Osage’s 17-14 district semifinal win over upset-minded Staley. Junior QB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="181613" first="Greg" last="Menne"]</strong> threw for 108 yards while senior RB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="178516" first="Javen" last="Hall"]</strong> rushed for 53 yards and a touchdown. Senior LB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="96258" first="David" last="Jacquez"]</strong> returned a fumble for a touchdown. Junior WR <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="101698" first="Larenzo" last="Fenner"]</strong> returned a blocked punt for a score. ...
