Mexico beat Seneca, 20-7, winning its fifth straight and improved to 10-2. ... Senior RB Michael White had a 4-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter and had a 60-yard touchdown receiving earlier in the game. The latter broke a 7-7 tie, while the former came after the defense recovered a fumble. ... Junior Anthony Shivers added an interception for the second straight game for the Bulldogs. ... The Kansas City school was the Class 2 runner-up last year and is now in the semifinals in the next class up, the second consecutive trip to this stage since going three times in a row from 1998-2000. ...
