Chase Stone Chase Stone 5'10" | 185 lbs | DB Archbishop Alter | 2022 OH – Alter – RB – 5’10″ 185 lbs
Stone had his most complete game of the year for Alter and he looked great doing it. On the very first drive of the game, Stone busted a big run which set the offense up in the redzone. Stone then later scored for 2-yards out to give Alter the lead. He wasn’t done yet as the game was just starting. Stone would rush for over 150-yards and 3 TDs on the night. His biggest play of the day was a 45-yard run to take the lead 21-20 late in the game.
Liam Poronsky – Tippecanoe – QB – 5’11″ 175 lbs
Tippecanoe’s offense was firing on all cylinders on Friday and it was because Poronsky didn’t miss very many throws. He had a stretch where he didn’t have an incomplete pass for 3 straight drives for their offense. He has a big arm and likes to let the ball rip as well. He connected on a long bomb down the field for the score. The ball had to of traveled at least 60-yards in the air. Poronsky would put up over 250 total yards of offense and 2 TDs on the night.
Aiden Hinkle – St. Marys – RB – 5’11″ 210 lbs
Hinkle was St. Mary’s bell-cow back again on Friday and he had another big game. He answered right on their first drive of the game with a TD from just a few yards out. He was able to get in the open field most of the night and make things happen. He was able to come out of the backfield and give the passing game a lift as well. He put up over 150-yards and his TD on the night.
Luke Chandler – Chaminade-Julienne – QB – 6’2″ 186 lbs
The defense was trying to get to Chandler all night and bother him with pressure but it never worked. He trusts what he sees and delivers the ball with velocity. He’s a big and strong QB who is able to run and extend plays while keeping his eyes downfield. This game Friday went back and forth and Chandler was confident all night in his arm and decisions. He finished the night with just over 250-yards and 2 TDs.
Seth Borondy – Bellbrook – RB – 6’2″ 184 lbs
Borondy was back with a huge game on Friday when Bellbrook needed it most. As we get deeper into the playoffs, the running game becomes more and more important. Borondy makes things a bit easier for his coaching staff. Hand him the ball and things will happen. His first TD of the night he weaved through the entire defense, stiff-armed a defender, cut across back the field, and got in from 45-yards out. Borondy rushed for just under 150-yards and a TD on the night.
