Quarterback play is on the rise in Michigan high school football. There is some high level talent in the class of 2023, but 2022 has some big arms to be excited about as well. Young quarterbacks are always an interesting film study, as you have to keep their age in mind and try to look at more positives than negatives. Growth is important as well, and seeing progression from season to season is the most crucial thing scouts want to see when evaluating any player, but especially quarterbacks. How the quarterback reacts to blitzes and their ability to scan the field can be just a couple of the things that coaches and scouts expect to see improvement in.

Currently, some of the best quarterbacks in the class of 2022 are currently uncommitted, with offers to weigh. This is always an interesting time of year. We get to see how seniors make their decision and pick a school. All of the players listed below had positive 2021 seasons, some of which are still going, and it will help their recruiting process greatly. Now it's time to let the film speak for itself while they await more collegiate offers and make their final decision.

Here are four of the top remaining uncommitted quarterbacks in Michigan:

[player_tooltip player_id="30159" first="Mike" last="DePillo"]

Depillo has a big arm with good pocket progression. He plays basketball as well, which shows on the field with some of his movement and lateral agility in the pocket. The senior had a big regular season, throwing for 1,443 yards and 16 touchdowns, hitting receivers on 91 out of 143 attempts, which is an impressive 63% completion percentage. DePillo currently holds a Central Michigan offer and could very well gain more before signing day. The second throw below shows some of the arm strength and accuracy that he has.

[player_tooltip player_id="30207" first="Declan" last="Byle"]

The Catholic Central quarterback has some fantastic scrambling highlights where he's able to make tough throws on the run. He's not a player who will look to run first, but he can escape pressure just long enough to find an open receiver. Byle trusts his arm and will fit it into tight windows if he needs to. He has an offer from Yale at the moment, showing his work in the classroom as well.

[player_tooltip player_id="30231" first="Anthony" last="Garrett"]

Playing from the pocket with five wide receivers is the ideal situation for Garrett. He excels when he has a chance to sit back and pick out a target. Garrett's accuracy and touch are ideal and he has the strength to put the ball in any part of the field. Defenses better respect his legs however, because he has some athletic ability to get outside of the pocket and go. Garrett currently has an offer from Lawrence Technological University.

[player_tooltip player_id="30188" first="Vinny" last="Booth"]

Besides having impressive accuracy, Booth also has great footwork and technique in the pocket. Booth has some high velocity on his throws and puts the ball in a position where only his wideout can get it. His physical abilities standout but he also excels with scanning the field. He's certainly a player worth a collegiate offer, as he has tons of potential. Butler, Findlay, Lake Erie, Lawrence Tech, and Morgan State currently have offers extended to the senior.
