Malachi Stephenson Malachi Stephenson 6'1" | 200 lbs | TE Bradshaw Mountain | 2023 AZ , TE, Bradshaw ’22
Although Stephenson is listed as a TE, he was able to make an impact at RB as well. Solid all-around athlete with a muscular frame, as Stephenson showed the ability to make plays on the ground or as a pass catcher. He had an impressive TD reception in the back corner of the endzone where he flashed excellent body control and field awareness along the boundary to stay in bounds. Physical ball carrier as he did a good job picking up those yards after contact, and had himself a solid night.
Jake Hilton, WR, Prescott ’23
I was really impressed with Hilton’s length at 6’3″ 170lbs with his ability to frequently generate a clean release and consistently create separation. Although he only had 2 catches for 47 yards, Hilton was frequently open throughout the night and possesses a natural catching ability. Large catch radius with soft hands, and can leap up and win those contested catches. Very underrated prospect and a 2023 X/Z receiver to get your eye on.
Cody Leopold Cody Leopold 5'10" | 185 lbs | ATH Prescott | 2023 State AZ , RB, Prescott ’23
Leopold is a workhorse type back for Prescott. He totaled 22 carries for 60 yards and a TD, and possesses solid vision in tight spaces. He flashed some solid physicality on Friday night, often being met with a cluster of opponents at the LOS and was still able to carry his momentum forward to pick up chunks of yards. Overall a good two-way prospect to know.
Grady Rose, QB, Bradshaw ’23
Rose had a huge night, accounting for all 3 of Bradshaw’s TD’s (2 passing, 1 rushing). He only went 3/7 for 65 yards passing, but threw 2 dimes with touch and placement for six, and showed some moxie when he sat back in the pocket. He had a 50 yard bootleg where he completely sold the fake to take it to the house, which pretty much put a stamp on it in the 4th quarter. Impressive night for Rose.
Tanner Mitchell, WR, Bradshaw ’23
Mitchell only had one catch for 38 yards, but it was a big one which was Bradshaw’s first score of the game. Mitchell ran a fade and was able to haul in in over the Prescott CB for six.
