7A Football Third Round Playoff Matchups

Entering into the 3rd round of playoff match ups in the state of Georgia are plenty of great games within 7A football. With this, there are also plenty of highly recruited prospects, which will certainly grab the attention of any college recruiting coach, and more. Below, feel free to take some time to refresh yourself with the playoff games that are on the slate for 7A football this week. We doubt that you will be disappointed. <strong>Grayson vs Roswell</strong> While Grayson is the easy pick for this game for most fans, we here at Prep Redzone think that this match up will be a lot better than given credit. Not only is Grayson 9-3 this season, but Roswell has racked up a 10-2 record, in which they have only lost to playoff worthy teams in Walton, and Milton High School. Grayson on the other hand, has struggled at points of the season, and has fallen to Creekside, Mill Creek, and Brookwood. Regardless of the struggles that each team has displayed, it will be excited to see this match up as a whole, especially as the highly ranked, and touted prospects will be matching up against each other. Nevertheless, we feel that the winner of this game will largely impact the outcome of the 7A playoffs moving forward. <strong>Collins Hill vs Lowndes</strong> The match up between Collins Hill and Lowndes will be one of the better match ups throughout the state this weekend. To start, Collins Hill enters this game 12-0, while Lowndes is 10-2. The only games that Lowndes has lost this season has been against teams such as Lee County, and Walton, in which both losses came in 1 score games. Out of this match up, Collins Hill certainly has the edge, even though both teams have their own fair share of star power. Collins Hill has a strong offense, and defense, while Lowndes defense has shown to struggle at times this season. Regardless, we are excited for this game, and we think players like [player_tooltip player_id="33889" first="Jacurri" last="Brown"], [player_tooltip player_id="33893" first="Sam" last="Horn"], and [player_tooltip player_id="33861" first="Travis" last="Hunter"] will show out, and continue to make a name for themselves. <strong>Milton vs Mill Creek</strong> Out of all of the 7A playoff match ups, Milton vs Mill Creek should be marked on your calendar. Both teams enter this game with an 11-1 record, in which they both lost to worthy opponents. For example, Mill Creek lost to Collins Hill, and Milton fell to North Cobb. While each teams have displayed strengths on both sides of the ball, we fully believe that Mill Creek has the edge, as they have only allowed 182 points over 12 games compared to the 216 points that Milton has given up. Needless to say, this game will come down to whoever’s offense can out-duel a good defense. Players like [player_tooltip player_id="71313" first="Lebbeus" last="Overton"], [player_tooltip player_id="33880" first="Jack" last="Nickel"], and DJ Oates will look to put a stop to Hayden Clark, [player_tooltip player_id="34015" first="Caleb" last="Downs"], and Cameron Robinson. Because of these big names, it is only appropriate to get your popcorn ready. <strong>Walton vs Brookwood</strong> Entering into this game, Walton has a better chance than fans may think. This season, even though they have lost 3 games, they have proven to have a decent defense, in which they will need greatly against Brookwood’s offense. Not only will they have to keep up with the 10-2 Broncos, but they will have to put a stop to [player_tooltip player_id="34009" first="Dylan" last="Lonergan"], Alexander Diggs, and Malcom Mccain, if they want any chance of winning this game.
