Three-time defending champion Bixby is once again back in the title game and looking to make all sorts of history. And on the other side you have Deer Creek that has made a somewhat unexpected run to the title game and will look to take down the giant Spartans. In this post, we take a look at the players you need to know about for Deer Creek as they head into the title game, looking to take down the Spartans. <span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Berkley Dalton - 2023 Wide Receiver</strong></span> The future is bright for Deer Creek in terms of skill players as they have a few players at running back and wide receiver that are juniors and are in the middle of breakout seasons. The first is Berkley Dalton, a junior wide receiver who has become one of the main targets for quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="200111" first="Brett" last="Pense"] in this Deer Creek offense. He has 31 catches on the season for over 400 yards and six touchdowns. Now, he’s allegedly going to be playing baseball at the next level as a UCO baseball commit but he could play football as well. Pense has thrown for nearly 30 touchdowns and only 3 interceptions this season and he’s also proven that he can be clutch down the stretch to help win games for his team. <span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Denver Hanna - 2022 Defensive Lineman</strong></span> On the defensive side of the ball, Denver Hanna has been an absolute game changer at the defensive line position. Hanna is a wrecking ball along the defensive line for Deer Creek and it shows with his performance this season. He leads the team in sacks and tackles for loss and is one of the leading tacklers on the team as well. That kind of versatility and game-changing ability will certainly be needed going up against a Bixby offense that has averaged north of 60 points per game this season. <span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Deontaye Wilson - 2023 Running Back</strong></span> Anytime you make a run to the state championship, you’re bound to have a combination of experienced players and then some breakout stars.
