14 Kicking Specialists To Check Out

For all the coverage that we provide for you at <strong><em>Prep Redzone Florida</em></strong> through the course of a year, one of the most exciting things we have done over the past 17 months is to include every phase of football in our coverage. With spotlights on positions and groups of prospects, we also have the opportunity to attend special teams – kicking/punting/long snapping showcases throughout the course of a year – and the specialists that we have had the opportunity to see, are among the best anywhere. National competitions taking place right here in our backyard. Because the state of Florida is now home to some of the best in the country, during playoff week, we highlight a few kickers/punters who have gotten the attention nationally. St. John’s Bartram Trail sophomore <strong>Liam Padron</strong> is a punter and a kicker, who happens to have 17 field goals this year that is not just good enough to be among the best in Florida, but in the country as well. While senior <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="108659" first="Brady" last="Denaburg"]</strong> led his Merritt Island Mustangs to a No. 1 seed with a 9-1 record as a quarterback, he also led the way for the Mustangs as a kicker, who has made 16 field goals so far in 2021. Denaburg’s brother, who was also a standout in high school, plays professional baseball. North Fort Myers senior <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="50089" first="Brandon" last="Bush"]</strong> has been on the kicking scene for a number of years, but this season he has truly turned up the heat with 13 field goals. Among some of the other kickers getting some attention includes University of Virginia commitment <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="50085" first="Will" last="Bettridge"]</strong> from Miami Gulliver Prep, senior <strong>Fred Casale</strong> (Clearwater Calvary Christian), Delray American Heritage sophomore <strong>Jake Weinberg</strong>, Wesley Chapel Cypress Creek senior <strong>Colton Corrao</strong> and <strong>Ian Marcal Garcia</strong>, a senior from Winter Garden Foundation Academy. Other Floridians who are turning heads as prospects include junior <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="128842" first="Alexander" last="Davis"]</strong> from Orlando Timber Creek, junior <strong>Riece Griffith</strong> (Pace), Miami Central’s <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="50104" first="Jayden" last="John"]</strong>, Loxahatchee Seminole Ridge senior <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="50125" first="Hayden" last="Gray"], [player_tooltip player_id="50111" first="Luis" last="Palenzuela"],</strong> senior from Miami Christopher Columbus and Jacksonville Trinity Christian senior <strong>Seth Bialek</strong> are among a few that we are spotlighting today.
