Big time baller alert from Week 8 in the Houston area! The names below are a few who did their thing on the field and made it look easy. Effort was given from all and their hard work is paying off week after week. We will have a few familiar names on this list but will also have a few newcomers to keep an eye on! RB Rodney Smith (2022) - Westfield Smith was a big hitter in the matchup vs. MacArthur. Smith put his vision on display with many of the inside zone runs, locating the right lane and showing good burst through holes. Smith went for 125 rushing yards on only 5 carries with 2 touchdowns to go along with it. Very impressive showing from the senior back. QB Bishop Davenport (2022) - Spring Davenport was just having fun on the field last week. He was cool and collected in the pocket, delivering strikes to his receivers under pressure, and showed off his tremendous deep ball accuracy. Davenport made the right reads throughout the night and was very efficient for the game. He finished the night with a stat line of 24 of 33 for 430 yards and 3 touchdowns in a dominating win. ATH Wyatt Young (2023) - Tompkins Young showed why he is an athlete. He was at times one of the most skilled players on the field and was a threat at multiple positions. Young lined up in the slot, at running back, and a quarterback. Young ran the ball 7 times for 131 yards with 4 touchdowns and added 3 receptions for 53 yards in a big win. Young grabbed many peoples’ attention and will continue to do so in the last of the games remaining. WR [player_tooltip player_id="60776" first="Cadyn" last="Bradley"] (2022) - Spring Bradley was Davenport’s favorite target on the night. Bradley showed the ability to turn a short gain into a big momentum play. He was sharp on his routes, especially on the out routes and slants, and showed incredible elusiveness after the catch. Bradley was big on the return game as well. For the game Bradley hauled in 10 catches for 205 yards and 3 touchdowns. . WR Izeal Jones (2022) - Pearland Jones showed how good he was in his runs after catch and racked up the YAC. He found many ways to get behgind the defense and make big plays as well. Jones showed great speed to beat defenders off the snap and the ability to be strong and break weak tacklers. Jones had 7 catches for 154 yards and a touchdown. RB [player_tooltip player_id="121980" first="Rashon" last="Estes"] (2023) - Jersey Village Estes had himself a game and showed why he is a top junior back. The quickness to get through running lanes and the ability to finish off runs made him shine bright in the win. One major thing that stood out was his ability to stand strong and take on blocks in order to buy his quarterback time to make a play. Estes ran for 211 yards on 25 carries and 3 touchdowns to go with it. Other Notable Performances: QB [player_tooltip player_id="119241" first="Brad" last="Jackson"] (2024) - Cypress Creek 26/41 - 390 passing yards - 6 touchdowns WR Cameron Price (2022) - St. Thomas Catholic 14 receptions - 198 receiving yards - 1 touchdown ATH Rashod Richardson (2025) - Cypress Creek 3 receptions - 109 yards - 2 touchdowns
