Below, we have listed some of our additional favorites from this past week who didn’t make the week’s top MVP’s list. If you happen to take a look at each of these players, we doubt that you will be disappointed.
Jimbo Batchelor (LB)- Trinity Christian
Against ELCA, Trinity’s defense not only held them to 3 points, but Batchelor proved to be an underrated player this week due to his value to his team’s defense. As a LB, not only did he manage to get his hands on 2 interceptions, but he also recovered a fumble for his team, further solidifying his defense’s dominance.
Curt Clark (QB)- Spalding
While Clark may not have put up big time points for his team this past Friday, his contributions helped lead Spalding to a 31-26 win over Perry High School. In this win, he played very balanced as he was able to go 15 for 20 in the air, for 160 yards. With this, Clark also served as a true dual threat, as he rushed for 98 yards as well.
Jahvon Butler (RB)- Bleckey County
Just like Clark, Jahvon Butler played a huge part of his team’s win, even though he did not put up any points, In his team’s win, Butler ran the ball 21 times, and ended the game with a total of 165 yards. Due to this success on the ground, Butler was able to help his team keep the defense off balance, while ultimately being able to finish the day with 27 total points on offense.
Kamauri Davis (RB)- Creekside
Last week, Davis flew under plenty of people’s radar due to the high levels of success this week from other prospects. Regardless, Davis managed to rush for about 260 yards on only 11 carries. In addition to this, he also had 3 TD’s in his team’s big win.
Armani Tookes (DB/WR)- Langston Hughes
Even though Tookes did not put up insanely impressive numbers last week, he still had his own fair share of success, as he proved to be an asset on both sides of the ball. On offense, Tookes caught a single TD pass, but his big plays came on defense, where he also had an 81 interception return for a TD.
Travion Solomon (QB)- Northeast
As the leader of Northeast’s offense, Solomon got the job done in more ways than one last Friday. Not only did he have success in the air, but he also saw his fair share of success on the ground. To start, Solomon threw for 209 yards, and a TD, while also having rushed for over 160 yards, and 2 TD’s. Needless to say, he was a big reason why his team happened to pull off the 27-23 win over Washington County.
Reece Fountain Reece Fountain 6'1" | 175 lbs | QB Rome | 2024 State GA (QB)- Rome
While it is uncanny for Fountain to wind up in this weeks underrated list due to his consistent, high performance for Rome’s football team, we feel that his success in week 7 was a bit overlooked. This may be due to the fact that he only passed for one TD in his team’s win against Dalton, but he also managed to help lead his team to a 49-6 victory in which he only had 7 incomplete passes. He also managed to throw for 344 yards, only solidifying his positive contributions to his team’s offense.
Aahiyus Allen (RB)- Jeff Davis
Because Jeff Davis defeated Bacon County 52-0, many people did not pay attention to their success due to their expected win. Regardless, Allen managed to have a big week for his team’s offense as he rushed for about 135 yards, on only 6 carries. Even more impressive, on half of these carries, he scored a TD. Yes, you read that correctly. By the end of the day, Allen had a total of 3 TD’s, only proving he was a big reason for his team’s success that evening.
