There are two weeks left in this regular season, and if you want to know the teams to keep an eye on, see which programs turn it up over the next 14 days.
With many district and playoff spots already filled, there are a few games coming up this week that will determine seeding when we get the post season going.
While many top programs continue to win, there are others who are losing their grip down the stretch.
Here is a look at the latest ranking from Florida Prep Redzone, heading into Week 10:
1. Bradenton IMG Academy (Independent, 7-0). In staying unbeaten, the Ascenders rolled at East St. Louis, 49-8. THIS WEEK: A Friday night away game at 8-1 Auburn, Alabama.
2. Tampa Jesuit (6A, 8-0). In wrapping up the district title, 44-0, over Tampa Blake, this is a program that is getting ready for the stretch run in a competitive region. THIS WEEK: A home game against Tampa Leto (1-7) on Friday.
3. Miami Central (5A, 6-2).The Rockets wrapped up the district with a convincing 41-6 win over North Miami Beach. THIS WEEK: It’s GMAC Week and a Thursday night rematch against No. 18 Miami Northwestern (6-2) at Traz Powell Stadium.
4. Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas (7A, 8-1). In winning yet another district title last week against No. 16 Fort Lauderdale Dillard, 23-13, the Raiders are indeed ready to defend a 7A crown they won two straight years. THIS WEEK: The regular season comes to an end on Friday on the road at (4-4) Davie Nova.
5. Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna (3A, 6-1). The Lions are back on a roll and embrace this run coming up at a sixth consecutive trip to the state finals. They defeated Fort Lauderdale Stranahan, 50-0. THIS WEEK: A huge home game to end the regular season when 8-0 and No. 21 rising St. Petersburg Lakewood heads to south Florida on Friday night.
6. Sanford Seminole (8A, 8-1). Continued to dominate longtime foe Lake Mary last week with a 29-12 win and a district title as the Seminoles are looking good. THIS WEEK: A home Friday game against DeLand (3-3).
7. Naples (6A, 8-0).The Golden Eagles had the opportunity to send a message to many teams in the state with a convincing 51-19 win against South Fort Myers and yet another district title. THIS WEEK: A game at home against East Lee (2-6) on Friday.
8. Venice (8A, 7-1). Went down for the first time this year in a game filled with penalties, 28-22, to No. 12 and two-time defending 4A state champion Fort Lauderdale Cardinal Gibbons. THIS WEEK: A huge district game against Sarasota Riverview (7-1) on Friday night.
9. Orlando Edgewater (7A, 8-1). In winning for the 7th straight time, the two-time defending 7A state runner up Eagles captured the district title over Ridge Community, 43-14. THIS WEEK: Will enjoy the week off before the annual showdown with Orlando Boone.
10. Tampa Bay Tech (7A, 8-0).The true measure of a solid team is being able to come from behind and winning games that are close. The Titans accomplished both of those things in a 21-12 win over previously unbeaten Tampa Wharton. THIS WEEK: A home game on Friday against (3-5) Strawberry Crest.
11. Lynn Haven Mosley (6A, 9-0). Remained unbeaten with a convincing 48-6 win against Fort Walton Beach. THIS WEEK: A home game against 1-6 Gadsden County will close out the regular season on Friday.
12. Fort Lauderdale Cardinal Gibbons (4A, 6-2).The defending 4A state champion Chiefs won a huge game against previously unbeaten and No. 8 Venice last Saturday, 28-22. THIS WEEK: A non-district road game on Friday against (3-4) Pembroke Pines Flanagan.
13. Miami Gulliver Prep (4A, 5-1).The Raiders once again had a long-awaited matchup with Miami Palmetto called off because of bad weather. THIS WEEK: A Friday road game at West Palm Beach Cardinal Newman (7-2) on Friday.
14. Jacksonville Bolles (4A, 6-1). For much of the season, this is a program that many felt was as good as you will find. And, while the Bulldogs are still among the best, they are still smarting from a 14-7 loss against No. 25 Gainesville Buchholz. THIS WEEK: It’s time to rebound this Friday as 0-8 Fort Pierce Westwood comes to town.
15. Lake Mary (8A, 7-1).While the dreams are still in reach, the Rams will have to do it as a lower seed – losing to No. 6 Sanford Seminole, 29-12. THIS WEEK: This team cannot afford to relax as another district game – this Friday at home against 5-3 Oviedo.
16. Fort Lauderdale Dillard (7A, 7-1). They had come into last Friday’s district showdown with No. 4 St. Thomas Aquinas with 26-1 record in the past 27 games, four shutouts in a row, and a chance to beat the nationally recognized Raiders. But three key mistakes led to 16 points in a 23-13 loss. The two teams could meet again in a month. THIS WEEK: A non-district home game on Friday against 5-1 Plantation.
17. Niceville (7A, 8-1).The Eagles got back on track with a convincing 31-9 win over Navarre. They had to forfeit a game to Fort Walton Beach for using an ineligible player. THIS WEEK: A Thursday night home district game against 1-7 Gonzalez Tate.
18. Miami Northwestern (6A, 7-2). In winning for the third straight time, 44-6, to one-time rival Carol City, the Bulls are now peaking at the right time. THIS WEEK: It’s GMAC Football Week and that means it’s rematch time against No. 3 Miami Central on Thursday night at Traz Powell Stadium.
19. Cocoa (4A, 6-1). While this has been a very special season for the Tigers, last week’s 27-14 win over previously unbeaten Port Orange Spruce Creek was yet another huge accomplishment. THIS WEEK: On the road for another game this Friday against 5-3 Lake Minneola, who are the defending 6A state runner ups.
20. Lakeland (7A, 6-1). The Dreadnaughts continue to play very well as they showed with a 38-14 win against Bartow. THIS WEEK: Traditional rival Lakeland Kathleen (2-6) comes in for a Friday night game.
21. St. Petersburg Lakewood (4A, 8-0). After a week off this program is bracing for a strong finish against some of Florida’s best teams, but this is a team that is more than up for any challenge. THIS WEEK: It will be No. 5 Chaminade-Madonna on the road that will provide a huge test. The Lions have the toughest schedule in the state.
22. Tampa Berkeley Prep (3A, 8-0).The Buccaneers have more than proven that they will indeed be a major obstacle for several 3A teams on the way to state – as they showed with a dominating 49-24 win over heralded quarterback Arch Manning and New Orleans Newman. THIS WEEK: They will have this week off before hosting Tampa Plant on Nov. 5.
23. Miami Killian (5A, 8-0). In winning for the ninth straight time, this is a program, the team scored often in a 42-8 win against longtime rival Miami Southridge. THIS WEEK: It’ GMAC Football week and the Cougars will play a dangerous Miami Booker T. Washington (4-5) team on Wednesday.
24. Ocala Vanguard (6A, 8-0).This is a team that will definitely be trouble once the playoffs roll around. They are talented and will lineup with the best. Beating Belleview 42-7 last week, this is a program that is looking for that perfect regular season. THIS WEEK: A Friday district road trip to Spring Hill to play 6-3 Springstead.
25. Port St. Lucie Treasure Coast (8A, 6-1).The Titans are also going to be a dangerous team once the playoffs get started as they showed in a 48-16 win against Inlet Grove. THIS WEEK: The regular season will come to an end on Friday against St. Lucie West Centennial (4-3).
(tie) Tallahassee Florida State University High (3A, 6-1). Taking the week off for a run into the playoffs, this is still the team to beat in the north in 3A. THIS WEEK: A Friday trip on Friday to play 0-7 FAMU High.
(tie) Gainesville Buchholz (7A, 7-1). The Bobcats got everyone’s attention last week – and joined the Top 25 with an impressive home win against No. 14 Jacksonville Bolles. THIS WEEK: A home game on Friday against 3-5 Ocala Forest.
