A.C. Flora (7-1, 3-1) at Dreher (2-5, 1-3)
A.C. Flora can win the Region 4-4A title with a victory. The Falcons are scary good on offense and equally impressive on defense. RB [player_tooltip player_id="202726" first="Markel" last="Townsend"], QB Phillips Daniels and WRs [player_tooltip player_id="202725" first="Chris" last="Lofton"] and [player_tooltip player_id="202731" first="Adonis" last="McDaniel"] have gotten better as the season has progressed. Other games to watch in the region are Irmo at Lugoff-Elgin and Richland Northeast at Westwood. If Irmo and Westwood both win it’s a three-way tie for first but the playoff seedings will be A.C. Flora, Westwood, Irmo. Dreher, Lugoff-Elgin and Richland Northeast are battling for the final playoff spot from the region.
Chapin (6-2, 2-1) at Lexington (6-2, 2-1)
A lot will be riding on this game – a second place finish and a home playoff game most importantly. The loser will have to travel to Carolina Forest for a first round game. QB [player_tooltip player_id="139289" first="Jayden" last="Bradford"], RB [player_tooltip player_id="89315" first="Bennett" last="Galloway"] and WR [player_tooltip player_id="59482" first="Zavier" last="Short"] have been spectacular for the Eagles. Lexington relies on a defense led by Blake Smith and Chris Frye that likes to create turnovers.
Newberry (4-4, 3-1) at Gray Collegiate (8-1, 4-0)
First place is on the line in Region 3-2A. If Newberry loses, they could fall all the way to the three seed. [player_tooltip player_id="89314" first="Kazarius" last="Adams"], a finalist for Mr. Football is nearing 2,000 yards on the season for Gray Collegiate. The defense is led by [player_tooltip player_id="200691" first="Tory" last="Kelly"]. Newberry will counter RB KJ Robinson and WR [player_tooltip player_id="59467" first="Zack" last="Chalmers"].
Orangeburg-Wilkinson (5-4, 3-1) at Brookland-Cayce (6-2, 3-1)
QB [player_tooltip player_id="199432" first="Tanner" last="Staton"] and LB [player_tooltip player_id="200697" first="Owen" last="Plane"] hope to lead Brookland-Cayce to the region title. They wrap up the No. 1 seed with a win, but a loss could potentially drop them all the way to a No. 4 seed from the region.
Ridge View (3-4, 1-2) at Blythewood (3-5, 0-3)
A victory by Ridge View could secure the No. 3 seed in Region 4-5A. A loss could eliminate them altogether, but they likely would fall to the No. 4 seed. QB [player_tooltip player_id="153263" first="Andre" last="Washington"] and WR [player_tooltip player_id="92205" first="Chase" last="Smith"] hope to keep the momentum they got last week in a win over Rock Hill. A loss by Blythewood ends their season. LB Myles Cotton has the most tackles in school history. RB Desmond Boatwright will have to have a big night for the Bengals.
White Knoll (1-8, 0-3) at River Bluff (2-7. 0-3)
This one is simple – the winner advances to play Sumter in the first round of the Class 5A playoffs next week while the loser must turn in the pads. WR [player_tooltip player_id="202727" first="Apollos" last="Cook"] and RB Cooper Johns are the key for the Gators. White Knoll has lost six in a row and must find enough offense to have hopes to continue to play.
