Without hesitation, the most popular thing that we do each week is recognize football prospects from across the state for what they accomplished the past week.
The Monday blog is designed to shine a spotlight on ALL football prospects – no matter of they are deemed 5 stars or NO stars at all.
Each week, as you submit these stellar performances, we will post and college coaches, who follow on the website as well as social media, will have an opportunity to see who is doing well – from week to week.
Here are this week's top performers:
In moving to a perfect 6-0 on the season, Union County beat Cross City Dixie County, 28-12, giving head coach <strong>Andrew Thomas</strong> his 100<sup>th</sup> career win.
Orlando Edgewater 2023 RB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="128013" first="Cedric" last="Baxter"]</strong> has been impressive all season, and this past week he turned it up a few notches in a win over Winter Park. He finished with over 300 yards on the ground.
Wekiva sophomore <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="128093" first="Sincere" last="Edwards"] </strong>was definitely a playmaker in a thrilling win over Orlando Evans. But no play was bigger than his sack that brought a jarring end to a hard-fought 25-19 overtime victory against Evans.
Edwards, playing on both sides of the ball, broke through blockers to knock down Trojans quarterback <strong>Chris Peterson </strong>and force a fumble on the final play of the game.
Orlando Timber Creek used QB <strong>Tanner Stevens</strong>, who threw three touchdown passes, with two going to <strong>Jonathan Cabral</strong>. Cabral, who also had two rushing TDs in a win over Olympia.
Orlando University running back <strong>Graylann Holland</strong> scored four touchdowns for the Cougars, three by rush and the other by taking a screen pass from quarterback <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="147580" first="Makai" last="Elder"]</strong> and going 50 yards to the end zone. Holland ran for the game's first TD and scored again from 5 yards out go break a 7-7 tie late in the first half.
Senior quarterback <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="111422" first="Blayne" last="Romano"]</strong> threw four touchdown passes, three to <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="128501" first="Tyree" last="Patterson"]</strong>, to lead Eustis to a 28-19 homefield win against Groveland South Lake. Patterson scored on receptions covering 47, 64 and 49 yards. Romano added a 63-yard TD pass as the Panthers.
Junior RB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="128383" first="Jamari" last="Ford"]</strong> accounted for over 100 total yards in Miami Northwestern's district win over Miami Norland. Senior receivers <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="111475" first="Adrian" last="Harris"]</strong> and <strong>Daverrick Jenkins</strong> came up huge for the Bulls.
Hilliard remained unbeaten (6-0) in the regular season since 2019 with a 32-21 win over Providence as <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="128297" first="Lyle" last="Bennett"] </strong>rushed for a touchdown and threw a 40-yard score to <strong>Brayden Matto</strong>.
<strong>Brysin Osgood</strong> kicked the deciding 20-yard field goal in the closing seconds to lift Fernandina Beach back into the win column in a wild, back-and-forth 31-28 shootout at Alachua Santa Fe. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="128794" first="Andre" last="Lucas"]</strong> caught two touchdown passes for the Pirates.
Wiregrass Ranch QB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="50138" first="Rocco" last="Becht"]</strong> completed 20 passes for 239 yards and 5 touchdowns in a win over Zephyrhills.
Senior athlete <strong>Cole Rogers</strong> from Bradenton St. Stephens had over 200 yards rushing and 2 scores and added 1 touchdown pass and over 300 total yards.
Lynn Haven Mosley junior standout DB <strong>Isaac Paul</strong> raced 73 yards with an interception for a score and spiked the 7-0 Dolphins to a win over Navarre.
Niceville standout<strong> Azareyeh Thomas </strong>had 109 yards (79 receiving, 30 rushing) on 13 touches, accounting for all three of scores, including a 10-yard jet sweep as the Eagles won for the 24<sup>th</sup> straight time in the regular season, 21-14 over Miami Edison, who traveled 630 miles to play the game. He also had 3 solo tackles and gave up NO catches.
<strong>Eelijah Singleton,</strong> WR, 10 Receptions for 278 yards and 3 touchdowns and QB <strong>Gavin Henley</strong> (17-22 for 478, 4 passing TDs, 80 yards rushing and 3 rushing TDs) in a win by Lennard (Ruskin).
<strong>Wayne Quin II,</strong> 2022 OLB, Tampa Jesuit, had 3 sacks in the Tigers' win over Clearwater Central Catholic.
<strong>Pinellas Park junior RB</strong><strong> Isaiah Hampton </strong><strong>r</strong>an for 161 yards on 13 carries in a win over St. Petersburg.
Class of 2023 QB <strong>Caleb Morris</strong> from St. Petersburg Keswick Christian accounted for 372 yards and 4 touchdowns in a win.
Class of 2024 QB <strong>Ethan Holewski</strong> from New Port Richey Gulf completed 10 passes for 229 yards and a pair of scores. Senior RB <strong>A.J. Blanton</strong> ran for 192 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries.
Land O' Lakes remained unbeaten (6-0) as WR <strong>Kennen Ayala</strong> had 5 receptions, 144 receiving yards, 3 TD in the 40-17 win against Cypress Creek. He has caught 20 balls this season for 722 yards and 11 TDs.
Coral Springs Charter 2022 WR <strong>Mason Phillips</strong> had 130 yards and two scores in a key win. Quarterback <strong>Ryan O'Keefe</strong> threw for 278 yards and 3 scores.
Junior LB <strong>Jaydn Church</strong> had 11 tackles and several pressures as Tampa Bay Tech remained unbeaten.
Class of 2022 athlete <strong>Elmmanual Brooks,</strong> Seminole Osceola came up with eight tackles and a forced fumble in a win over Palm Harbor University.
Senior LB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="111467" first="Daveon" last="Crouch"], </strong>Tampa Wharton came up with five tackles, a sack and returned a fumble for a touchdown in a win over Plant.
One of Florida's best running backs, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="128063" first="Jaden" last="Booker"]</strong> from Naples Palmetto Ridge ran for 325 yards and 4 scores.
<strong>Jamarion McElroy</strong> ran for 315 yards and 5 scores as Fort Myers Gateway won its first ever game.
