No. 4 [player_tooltip player_id="208256" first="Chris" last="Butler"] | 5-10 | 155 | Milford Mill
I think Butler is at his best when he’s allowed to take a straight handoff get north south as soon as possible. That’s where you’re able to see him speed up the fastest. Butler does a good job of taking inside runs that look like the play may go for a loss and turning them into gains by cutting it outside. Butler has rushed 53 times for 562 yards (10.6 ypx) and ten touchdowns in five games this season. That includes three games of 120-plus yards.
No. 5 [player_tooltip player_id="213926" first="Victor" last="Listorti"] | 5-11 | 192 | Chesapeake
Listorti is a newcomer to the list. He’s rushed 92 times for 733 yards (8.0 ypc) and nine touchdowns in five games this season. Listori has rushed for 120-plus yards in four of those games. He has also accounted for 16 total tackles from his safety position on defense.
No. 6 [player_tooltip player_id="208255" first="Terrez" last="Worthy"] | 5-10 | 190 | Parkside
I am very impressed with how fast Worthy hits the hole and is always getting north south as quickly as possible. He also does a great job of setting defenders up by waiting until he’s up on them before cutting to the left or to the right with no wasted movements. Worthy has been an effective on kickoff returns this year too.
No. 6 [player_tooltip player_id="90612" first="Kelvin" last="Mendez"] | 5-9 | 194 | Harford Tech
Mendez has ran 78 times for 644 yards (8.3 ypc) and seven rushing touchdowns this season. He's not the fastest but he's consistent and hard to tackle.
No. 7 [player_tooltip player_id="208297" first="Troy" last="Dukes"] | 6-0 | 165 | Kenwood
After rushing for 43 yards in his first game of the season, Dukes has rushed for 120-plus yards in his last four games. He has carried the football 74 times for 619 yards (8.4 ypc) and eight touchdowns this season. He's a tough runner who also plays linebacker on defense. He'll need to continue to work on his speed.
No. 8 [player_tooltip player_id="208293" first="Khalil" last="Graves"]
Graves has carried the football 61 times for 432 yards (7.1 ypc) and three touchdowns in five games this season. Graves can get yardage when he runs both inside and outside. I think he's at his best when he's given a chance to attack the perimeter with his quickness. Once he's able to get some acceleration, you can see his true speed on the field once gets going in a north-south direction.
