Maddox Bernardino, Diamond Bar, 2023
Diamond Bar has one of the most lethal offenses in Southern California. The Brahmas can get it done through the air and on the ground. Bernardino had a huge game in a win against Wilson of Hacienda Heights last week, catching 14 passes for 253 yards and three touchdowns. The receptions and yardage are career-highs for Bernardino and his three touchdowns match a previous career-high. He is also a baseball star at Diamond Bar.

Hector Ceballos, Franklin, 2023
The numbers that Ceballos put up in Franklin’s 28-21 win over Eagle Rock are almost comical. The junior caught an insane 27 passes for 217 yards and three touchdowns. The 27 receptions are likely a school-record and may be a City Section record. Ceballos has three games with over 200 yards receiving and has eclipsed the 1,000 yard passing mark already.

Matthew Moore, Carlsbad, 2022
Carlsbad is one of the top three teams in San Diego and the offense revolves around its passing game. The Lancers have a few athletic receivers and they take turns having big games for the undefeated team. This week was Moore’s turn to shine. The senior caught 10 passes for 136 yards and three touchdowns in a win over San Marcos. The receptions, yards and touchdowns were all season-highs for Moore.

Frank Valentino, Cathedral City, 2022
Cathedral City moves the ball well through the air but it may have had its best game of the season in a win against Banning. The Lions had 405 yards passing and Valentino was the star of the game. He caught eight passes for 251 yards and five touchdowns. He has had over 200 yards in his last two games and 9 touchdowns over that span. He leads the nation in receiving touchdowns.

Cooper Wallace, Simi Valley, 2022
Simi Valley lost quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="25325" first="Travis" last="Throckmorton"] and hasn’t really skipped a beat on offense. The Pioneers are now led by freshman quarterback Steele Pizzella and scored 42 points in a win over Royal last week. Wallace had the most glaring stat line, catching eight passes for 328 yards and three touchdowns for Simi Valley. His 328 yards were the second most in Ventura County history.
