[player_tooltip player_id="147708" first="Elijah" last="Brown"], Mater Dei, 2024
Brown once again proved that he is the next superstar quarterback to come out of Mater Dei. The sophomore completed 72 percent of his passes for 263 yards and five touchdowns in a huge win against St. John Bosco. His accuracy is among the best in the state and he throws a nice deep ball. Brown consistently performs on the big stage and we are watching a star who has two more great years of high school football.

[player_tooltip player_id="42800" first="Jalen" last="Daniels"], Lincoln, 2022
Daniels has been very good since transferring to Lincoln late this summer. It helps that Lincoln has the most athletic skill players of any school in San Diego, but it’s still impressive that he has fit in so nicely without much practice time. He completed 12 of 20 passes for 286 yards and three touchdowns in a nice win over St. Augustine. Daniels didn’t have as much help from the running game as he usually does but still performed very well. I am excited to see how Daniels performs in the season finale against Cathedral Catholic.

[player_tooltip player_id="25249" first="Jayden" last="Denegal"], Apple Valley, 2022
Denegal had a huge week last week. He announced his commitment to Michigan and had a massive game against Serrano of Phelan. The senior completed 25 of 30 passes for 325 yards and five touchdowns in the 47-13 win. He has a college-level body frame and seems like he has a smoother release than he had when I first saw him as a sophomore. He has all the tools to succeed at Michigan and the work ethic to make big things happen.

[player_tooltip player_id="115449" first="Myles" last="Jackson"], Millikan, 2024
Jackson was a promising freshman last season but only played in a couple games in the spring. He is the lone starter for the Rams now and had the best game of his young career last week. The sophomore completed 25 of 45 passes for 422 yards and five touchdowns in a win over Lakewood. He has offers from Texas A&M, Oregon State and BYU.

[player_tooltip player_id="115456" first="Julian" last="Sayin"], Carlsbad, 2024
Sayin is definitely the best sophomore quarterback prospect in the state and may be the best in the nation. He faced some adversity for maybe the first time in his career last week when Carlsbad trailed Torrey Pines by 14 points. He led the Lancers on a comeback victory and threw the game-winning touchdown pass very late in the game in what people have told me is one of the most clutch plays they have ever seen. He had 282 yards and three touchdowns for the Lancers. Sayin has 15 offers including Georgia, Notre Dame, Texas and USC.
