Jj Payne – NorthWood – WR – 6’5″ 185 lbs
Northwood likes to use Payne on the outside and take advantage of his size. He’s able to go up and get just about any ball that comes in his area. He was a man on a mission on Friday. He was unstoppable on the outside. He found the endzone for the first score of the game and didn’t stop there. He kept getting open all night long and he finished the night with just over 150 receiving yards and a touchdown
Bryson Brown – Warsaw – RB – 5’9″ 160 lbs
Whenever Warsaw sees the field they are going to run all over their opponents and that was no different Friday. Warsaw got the option running game going early and they gashed the defense all night. Brown was ripping off huge chunks every time he touched the ball. He found Warsaw’s first touchdown of the game and stayed hot all night. He finished the night with 137 rushing yards and a score.
Hunter Dutton – Concord – QB – 5’11” 200 lbs
Dutton put on a show Friday. He was delivering the ball on time every down and making strikes. He threw with a ton of confidence and you could see it. He’s got decent mechanics as well. He found the endzone on the first drive of the day delivering a rope to his WR in the back of the endzone. He helped lead Concord to another win and they are sitting at 7-1 now on the year.
Clint Walker – Northridge – RB/OLB – 6’3″ 215 lbs
Walker was a big advantage on Friday. While most of the offense was stalled Walker was making plays. He was able to find the endzone on a slant over the middle where he caught it and raced down the field 65-yards for a score. He’s a threat to take it to the house anytime he touches the ball and he did just that on Friday.
Bean Smith – Mishawaka – RB – 5’8″ 165 lbs
Mishawaka was all over Wawasee and Smith got in on the fun. Mishawaka scored a touchdown the first 4 times they had the ball and they never really slowed down. Smith found the endzone twice and finished the game with just over 100 total yards. He’s a young and up-and-coming player so it’s nice to see him have these breakout-type performances for Mishawaka.
