This Class B matchup featured two physical defenses that love to hit and offenses that can control the clock with balanced attacks. Sam Hartman Sam Hartman 6'0" | 185 lbs | QB Grand Island Northwest | 2022 State NE , GI Northwest’s QB, is one of the top gunslingers in the state and has continued to look dominant in his senior year. Weapons like Jensen, Harring, Richardson, and Douglass certainly make Hartman’s job a little easier to do. However, pass-rush demon Chance Symons Chance Symons 6'3" | 235 lbs | DL Scottsbluff | 2022 State NE was looking to hold Harman & Co. at bay. A defensive front featuring Symons (Chance & Cord), Jayce Wilkinson Jayce Wilkinson 6'0" | 180 lbs | LB Scottsbluff | 2023 State NE , Trevor Schwartz Trevor Schwartz 6'4" | 220 lbs | TE Scottsbluff | 2022 State NE , Josiah Mobley Josiah Mobley 6'0" | 175 lbs | LB Scottsbluff | 2023 State NE , etc. looked to shut them down. Offensively, Scottsbluff boasted a junior dual-threat QB Braeden Stull Braeden Stull 6'2" | 170 lbs | QB Scottsbluff | 2023 State NE , who was gashing the defense at will, and 2024 RB Sebastien Boyle Sebastien Boyle 5'11" | 210 lbs | RB Scottsbluff | 2024 State NE who was the workhorse back. This was one of the more exciting games I’ve had the privilege to watch this season. The two teams battled all night exchanging touchdowns, delivering bone-crushing tackles and showed lots and lots of guts. Two touchdown receptions from Harring, a rushing touchdown by Hartman (where he lowered the shoulder on a defender and laid him out), and clutch receptions from their playmakers helped the Vikings keep pace with Scottsbluff. In the end, the rushing attack of Boyle and Stull was too much for the Northwest defense to contain (especially with Aidan Davies Aidan Davies 6'2" | 220 lbs | LB Grand Island Northwest | 2022 NE sidelined due to injury) and fell behind Boyle’s 3 touchdown effort.
Final: Scottsbluff 43 – GINW 36

- He carried the ball 23 times for 169 yards and scored 3 touchdowns.
- I’ll start by saying that Boyle is going to be a monster for Scottsbluff in the next couple of years. He is so good as a sophomore, I can’t wait to see his development.
- He’s is a bruiser at RB and picks up tough yardage. He’s very hard to bring down on first contact and he keeps his legs pumping.
- Great burst through his lanes and acceleration to take the run all the way home.
