Scotland Co. v. Pinecrest Offensive Highlights

I was on the sidelines Friday night for the conference match-up between two ranked teams.  The game was a mixture of explosive offensive plays and key defensive stops throughout the game.  The players listed performances caught my attention throughout the game: <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="118810" first="Carter" last="Revelle"], QB, 6’4" 190, Scotland Co. HS</strong>.  Carter remains in the pocket while under pressure to make accurate passes on the run.  He displayed the ability to scramble in the pocket and complete passes on the run.  Carter has good arm strength and was accurate on the long-ball throws.  Carter has a quick and smooth release on his short and long-ball passes.  [player_tooltip player_id="118810" first="Carter" last="Revelle"] is a talented young quarterback with the poise to remain calm under pressure and will continue to get better as he gains valuable game experience. <strong>RJ Nicholson, RB, 5’9" 180, Scotland Co. HS</strong>.  RJ followed blockers and displayed quick acceleration into openings running past defenders to gain yardage.  He did a good job running inside the tackles while gaining tough yardage.  RJ Nicholson used his speed to get outside of the defenders to score. <strong>Izeem Graham, WR, 6’1" 170, Scotland Co. HS</strong>.  Izeem ran good pass routes and displayed the ability to separate from defender to make the catch.  He displayed good hands and speed to accelerate past defenders in the open field on the long-ball receptions, scoring on one reception.  Izeem Graham was consistent in separating from defender to make catches in traffic throughout the game. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="191322" first="Cadyn" last="Graves"], WR, 6’2" 170, Scotland Co. HS</strong>.  Cadyn ran good pass routes and displayed the ability to separate from defender to make catches in traffic.  He did a good job of using his body to shield defender, consistently making catches, one in the end zone for a TD.  [player_tooltip player_id="191322" first="Cadyn" last="Graves"] uses his speed and skills to make key receptions to move the offense down the field. <strong>Will Young, OG, 5’8" 215, Scotland Co. HS</strong>.  Will was quick out of his stance to make contact with the defender to open lanes for the running backs.  He displayed good technique and footwork to control defenders. Will Young provided solid blocking up front throughout the game. <strong>Isaiah Scott, OT, 6’5" 350, Scotland Co. HS</strong>.  Isaiah used his size and strength to control the defender while opening lanes for the running backs.  He displayed good footwork and technique while making contact with defender.  Isaiah Scott provided solid blocking up front throughout the game. <strong>Mason Konen, QB, 6’4" 190, Pinecrest HS</strong>.  Mason remained in the pocket while under pressure to deliver accurate passes.  He displayed a quick-release on his throws and consistently delivered accurate short-range passes.  Mason Konen has good arm strength and delivered an accurate long-ball pass for a TD. <strong>Xavier Dowd, RB, 6’0" 185, Pinecrest HS</strong>.  Xavier followed blockers to find openings and accelerated quickly to run past defenders to gain yardage.  Xavier Dowd is a shifty runner who uses his speed to move the offense down the field. <strong>Nahjir Seagroves, RB, 5’10" 170, Pinecrest HS</strong>.  Nahjir followed blockers to find an opening and accelerated to gain yardage.  He runs with power and speed and does not go down after initial contact is made.  Nahjir Seagroves was a strong inside runner throughout the game, gaining tough yardage and scoring twice. <strong>Roston Barber, OT, 6’3" 255, Pinecrest HS</strong>.  Roston displayed good technique and footwork to control defender while opening lanes for the running backs.  Roston Barber provided strong drive-blocking throughout the game. <strong>Jackson McCrae, OT, 6’1" 250, Pinecrest HS</strong>.  Jackson displayed good technique and footwork to control defender while opening lanes for the running backs.  Jackson McCrae provided strong drive-blocking throughout the game. &nbsp; &nbsp;
