Prospect Spotlight: Linebackers/Defensive Line

These players are all talented and have college level ability and skills. Nobody promotes more High School football prospects than Prep Redzone Florida!       Rodolfo Hernandez, LB- South Miami High c/o 23 5'10 190lbs Hernandez is a junior Prospect for South Miami, he probably could play a number of positions at the next level. He's not the biggest linebacker, but he's very instinctive and he's physical for his size. Does a good job sifting through traffic and getting to the ball. He's a player to keep an eye on for the next few seasons. He's tied for the team lead in tackles with 40 from his defensive tackle position, he's tallied 15 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks. Has a very fast burst off the line, splits blocks quickly and is constantly living in opponents backfield. Looks impossible to block at times, his speed and acceleration are too much for an offensive lineman to handle. He averages over 10 tackles a game. Has good eyes, shows instincts and the ability to read plays and get down hill. Nice short-area quickness and tackling ability. He's leading his team in tackles with 47 and averages 9 tackles a game from his defensive line position. He also has 10.5 tackles for loss and 9 sacks with 18 QB hurries through 5 games! Shows outstanding get-off (4.6 40) from his defensive end position, smart player that does his job, trust his eyes and gets to the ball in a flash, does a very good job using his hands and makes plays all over the field.
