As fans and scouts we love seeing the results from Friday night come in. Everyone knows that great performances make up the Friday nights every week and this week was no different. Week six had numerous impressive performances and we are going to put some guys in the spotlight this week to put a wrap on week six.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="214772" first="Jake" last="Glover"]-Running Back-Greenwood-2023</strong>
The Greenwood running back exploded against the Siloam Springs Panthers. Glover rushed for four touchdowns and 209 yards off of 22 carries. Glover gives the Bulldogs a mix of speed and shiftiness that will give opposing defenses plenty of headaches as we approach the playoffs.
<strong>Da’Shawn Chairs-Running Back-Elkins-2024</strong>
One player that has earned the spotlight this season is Elkins running back Da’Shawn Chairs. The Elkins running back rushed for 176 yards and three touchdowns on Friday. He also caught two passes for 22 yards. Chairs has had a terrific season and he is a player to watch out for over the next few seasons.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="75110" first="Kannon" last="Bartlett"]-Wide Receiver-Vilonia-2022</strong>
Bartlett was impressive last week against Farmington. However, he is kept the momentum going this week against Pea Ridge. Bartlett hauled 11 passes for 208 yards and three touchdowns. Bartlett has flown under the radar up until this season, but he is having a monster season and is a player that can play on Saturdays.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="93533" first="Jordan" last="Mills"]-Quarterback-Hot Springs Lakeside-2022</strong>
The Rams quarterback had an impressive outing on Friday night. Mills passed for 286 yards and three touchdowns. He was 17/28 and helped the Rams earn an impressive victory over Arkansas High School in Texarkana. Look for Mills to continue to play well over the next few weeks.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="92740" first="Jaylen" last="Hopson"]-Running Back-Prescott-2022</strong>
The Prescott Curley Wolf had an impressive outing against Centerpoint in a battle of unbeatens. Hopson rushed for 224 yards and four touchdowns. Hopson helped the Wolves come back from 23 down to secure the victory on Friday night.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="94994" first="Cooper" last="Wilcox"]-Quarterback-Greenbrier-2022</strong>
Wilcox has been absolutely terrific this season. Greenbrier went on the road and beat Harrison on Friday and Wilcox continued his solid season. Wilcox was 8/11 for 227 yards and four touchdowns through the air. Meanwhile, Wilcox rushed six times for 72 yards and one touchdown. Wilcox is on fire this season and will look to continue his solid play as the playoffs approach.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="180294" first="JT" last="Tomescko"]-Defensive Back-Bentonville-2023</strong>
[player_tooltip player_id="180294" first="JT" last="Tomescko"] forces opposing quarterbacks to account for him in the secondary. Tomescko was all over the field for the Tigers on Friday night. Tomescko had six tackles a pick-six, and a forced fumble. Opposing offensive coordinators should take note of where Tomescko patrols the rest of the season in the secondary.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="135229" first="Weston" last="Pierce"]-Quarterback-Maumelle-2023</strong>
The Maumelle quarterback has played solidly every week of the season and this week was not any different. Pierce had another impressive night on Friday. Pierce was 9/16 of for 216 yards and three touchdowns on Friday night. Pierce is an accurate quarterback that can be lethal in the red zone.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="75105" first="Bladen" last="Fike"]-Quarterback-Fayetteville-2022</strong>
Fike has had a strong season and he continues to raise the bar every week. Friday night was another night where Fike got to showcase his strong arm against Fort Smith Southside. Fike was 25/40 for 341 yards against Southside. One impressive trait about Fike is he knows when to escape the pocket and he picked up 61 yards on the ground Friday night to go along with a strong passing performance.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="75067" first="Joe" last="Himon"]-Running Back-Pulaski Academy-2022</strong>
The Northwestern commit has had one of the most impressive seasons in the state this season from the running back position. On Friday night, Himon punched the ball in the end zone four times and caught a touchdown pass. Himon had over 250 total yards and continues to show why Northwestern got a steal from the state of Arkansas.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="75066" first="Isaiah" last="Sategna"]-Wide Receiver-Fayetteville-2022</strong>
If you are surprised to see the future Oregon Duck on this list, then you haven’t been paying attention lately to just how explosive he is. Sategna hauled in 11 receptions for 202 yards and a touchdown in the win over Southside on Friday. The Fayetteville-Bentonville game will must watch this Friday night.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="214836" first="Donovyn" last="Omolo"]-Quarterback-Conway-2024</strong>
The Conway Wampus Cat is going to be a quarterback to watch over the next few years. Omolo played well on Friday night going 20/26 for 340 yards and three touchdowns. Conway is going to be a dangerous team to meet up with in the playoffs.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="149574" first="Bradon" last="Allen"]-Quarterback-Lonoke-2024</strong>
The 2024 quarterback class in the state of Arkansas is shaping out to be a deep one. Allen was 12/19 for 172 yards and three touchdowns. However, he was not done there he also carried the ball 19 times for 105 yards on the ground. Allen has exploded this season and is a talented quarterback to watch.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="133157" first="Landon" last="Jones"]-Athlete-Lonoke-2023</strong>
Jones wall all over the field on Friday night on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. Jones hauled eight receptions for 79 yards, and he picked off a pass on the defensive side of the ball. Jones is going to be a player to watch the rest of the season.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="75084" first="Manny" last="Smith"]-Wide Receiver-Conway-2022</strong>
The Conway Wampus Cat has turned into of the most consistent wide receivers in the state this season. Smith had six receptions for 149 yards and one touchdown on Friday night. Smith just continues to raise his level of play every Friday night.
