Week seven was another great weekend of high school football on the Keystone State. There was plenty of great performances but here are a few that stood out above the rest;
QB [player_tooltip player_id="140911" first="John" last="Adams"] (Minersville): Adams has been putting up terrific numbers all season and he did so again this past Friday night against Catasauqua. The senior quarterback was 22-for-28 for 384-1yards and five touchdowns. He’s one of the top statistical quarterbacks in the entire state and is a major reason Minersville is out to a 5-2 record this season. Now through seven games, Adams has totaled 1,676 passing yards and 18 touchdowns. He’s been fun to watch on tape all season. He’s a player who deserves to find somewhere to play at the next level.
QB [player_tooltip player_id="95759" first="Logan" last="Klitsch"] (Conrad Weiser): Conrad Weiser outlasted Hamburg on Friday 31-27 in great part to Logan Kiltsch’s performance. Kiltsch was efficient through the air going 14-for-20 for 177-yards and two touchdowns while adding 70 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
RB Anthony Bourassa (Cocalico): Bourassa ran all over the Conestoga Valley defense on Friday night, totaling 203 rushing yards and four touchdowns over 26 carries. Bourassa has broken out this season for Cocalico, averaging 7.3 yards per carry and totaling over 1,200 yards already this season. He’s earned 100+ yards in six of seven games so far this season. Not the biggest of backs, Bourassa is still a bruiser of a running back but also has quality speed making him one of the tougher running backs in the state to bring down.
QB [player_tooltip player_id="118773" first="Bo" last="Swartz"] - West Shamokin
Swartz led West Shamokin to a 70-36 win over Union this past weekend behind 514 total yards on offense. Through the air, he was extremely efficient, completing 16-of-20 passing attempts for 394-yards and six touchdowns while adding 120 rushing yards and a touchdown on seven carries. Simply one of the best single-game performances you’ll see this season.
DB Cole Turner - Spring-Ford
One of the better defensive performances this season, Spring-Ford’s Cole Turner had not one, not two, not three interceptions but four against Norristown. The ball hawk defensive back now has five interceptions on the season.
RB [player_tooltip player_id="27558" first="Nicholas" last="Singleton"] - Governor Mifflin
Teams can try to game plan all they want when it comes to trying to slow down [player_tooltip player_id="27558" first="Nicholas" last="Singleton"] but no Mather what they do, he keeps chugging along. What an incredible player he is, he’s going to be a star at the next level for Penn State. This week, he totaled 246 yards and four scores against Exeter.
RB Ethan Knox - Oil City

The sophomore running back rushed for 214-yards and two touchdowns in a 21-18 loss to Warren. Knox has totaled over 1,500 yards on the season and is on our radar.

QB Eric Dippold - Warren
They may not be eye-opening numbers per se but seeing an efficient game out of a sophomore quarterback to the degree Dippold provided on Friday is noteworthy. He was 12-for-16 for 144-yards and two touchdowns in his best game of the season.
RB Julian Lopez - Lampeter-Strasburg
Lopez could’ve run all day behind Lampeter-Strasburg’s offensive line. That being said on just eight carries, the sophomore tailback totaled 103 rushing yards and a touchdown. It was the first game this season per MaxPreps that Lopez received more than three carries and he certainly did the most with his opportunity.
QB [player_tooltip player_id="156231" first="Judd" last="Novak"] - Manheim Central
Novak has been a quarterback we’ve been high on for a while and he showed a big reason why this past weekend. The Manheim Central signal-caller completed 27-of-40 passing attempts for 268-yards and four touchdowns while rushing for an additional 94 and another score.
