Player Spotlight: GA DL Geralds Named UA All-American

Name: Daverin “Deuce” Geralds II Position: Defensive Line/Tight End  Hometown: Duluth, GA School: Hull Middle School  Height: 6-foot-1 Weight: 230-pounds Scouting Report: As a member of the Duluth Wildcats, Geralds II is a force along the defensive line. He shows a quick first step and does a good job using his hands to get past opposing lineman. He’s a high motor kid who has recorded 8.5 sacks on the season. He’s much more advanced on the defensive line than he is at the tight end position but he’s still a weapon in the passing game as he’s scored 6 touchdowns.  Combine: Geralds II has verified testing numbers in the 40-yard dash and the 20-yard shuttle where he’s recorded a 4.91 40 and a 4.68 shuttle.  Quote: “It’s an honor and a dream come true to be named a Under Armor Next All-American,” said Geralds II. “I’m looking forward to competing down there and working to get better each day and learning more about the defensive line position.”  Family Connections: Football connections in the Geralds’ family run deep as Daverin’s father played offensive line for Mississippi. He then went onto have stints in both the Arena Football League and the Canadian Football League.
