Jamon Smith DT Clay Chalkville
Smith plays with great leverage and always seems to be the lower man in the trenches. He uses his size well to take up his gap and does a great job of shedding blocks and getting upfield in the run game. He has an excellent first step for his size and shows the ability to win with speed or strength. Smith also has a great motor. Him consistently running down plays from behind at 270 lbs will translate to the next level. Smith has the size, strength, and motor to become one of the best defensive tackles in the state. With a year left to develop, look for Smith to gain solid offers throughout his senior year.
Zach Pyron Zach Pyron 6'3" | 205 lbs | QB Pinson Valley | 2022 State AL QB Pinson Valley
Pyron has the prototypical size of a college QB. His solid frame allows him to be an asset in both the run and pass game. As a passer, Pyron shows substantial potential and willingness to take on the pressure while delivering accurate passes and shows solid arm strength when the opportunity presents itself. In addition to that, he can get the ball in tight windows when throwing the slant route. He does a solid job as a runner using his frame to break tackles and gain yards after contact.

Jordan Walker MLB Chalkville
Showed an ability to put pressure on the Quarterback and make his presence be known. Showed great instinct and timing on delayed blitz and showed enough speed to disrupt timing in the passing game. Walker also was disruptive in the run game, diagnosing plays and covering ground with quickness. He does a good job knowing his assignment and winning with speed to compensate for his lack of size. Ideally, Walker could excel at a program where he can be the Will linebacker and use his speed to wreck offenses.
Edward Osley RB Clay Chalkville
Osely’s dominating performance included 185 yards, five touchdowns, and a player of the week award from the Trussville Tribune. Osley’s biggest strength is his ability to absorb contact without going down. He showed excellent contact balance and an ability to break tackles in the open field consistently. He also has good acceleration, which allows him to burst when penetrating the second level of the defense. His solid frame enables him to play with a low center of gravity, making him tough to tackle. With the playoffs approaching, look for Osely to continue to be the workhorse and gain interest from mid-major and high-tier D2 programs.
Amare Thomas WR Pinson Valley
Thomas appeared to be his QB’s favorite target, and he showed why. Thomas has an excellent ability to adjust to the ball and finish plays on the sideline. He also has wonderful instinct after the catch and does an adequate job of making the first man miss. Proved to be effective, taking the top off the defense and working the quick game with solid routes and smooth acceleration. Thomas also has a knack for making contested catches and making tough plays when needed. As a junior, Thomas could be one of the best in his state if he keeps developing and honing his craft.
