As the season continues to go on it gets more and more clear which teams are at the top and which teams are still chasing the top. The same could be said for the players as some players have shown out and made a name for themself.
<strong>Gideon Ituka Gaithersburg</strong>
Ituka has been a player that has had a lot of eyes on him since middle school. You can see why as he is a great running back. He runs with power and can break tackles. He also has good speed to break off long runs when he gets out in space. He may not be talked about much because he plays for Gaithersburg but Ituka is a real talent.
<strong>Chryst Woods Northwest</strong>
Woods had another breakout game. He was the best defensive player for Northwest. He was in the backfield all game making tackles behind the line of scrimmage. He also had a safety to cap off a dominant performance. Woods is making a case for being the best interior lineman in the county.
<strong>Liam Haley Sherwood </strong>
Sherwood had a rough game but Haley was fantastic. He made several plays including an interception and a sack. Haley is very versatile as he has there ability to line up in the defensive backfield and come off the edge as an edge rusher. Haley was all over the place Friday and was Sherwood’s best player.
<strong>Nic Neely Gaithersburg </strong>
Neely is a defensive lineman that had a great game against Watkins Mill. He has the ability to line up on the interior and on the edge. He has great hands and is able to fight off blockers. He is a real piece that Gaithersburg should look to build around. Expect Neely to continue to lead Gaithersburg’s defensive front.

Anderson was completely dominant against Sherwood. They had no answer for him. Anderson has a rare combination of speed and size. He is ready for the next level. He has the speed to run by anyone, but his size makes him a big factor after the catch as it is very hard to bring him down. He also has great hands that make him a 50/50 ball threat. He will continue to dominate this season and be a force at the next level.
