Missouri Week 8 Friday St. Louis area standouts

Week 8 of the Missouri high school football season produced several notable performances. Here is a quick look at some of the standouts from the St. Louis area in Friday action: <strong>QB [player_tooltip player_id="103396" first="Josh" last="Baker-Mays"], 5-11, 180, Duchesne, 2023</strong> Baker-Mays completed 10 of 19 passes for 172 yards and five touchdowns in Duchesne’s 62-0 win at Winfield. For the season, Baker-Mays has passed for 992 yards and 16 touchdowns (against two interceptions). He has 14 touchdown passes without an interception in his last four games. <strong>QB [player_tooltip player_id="37531" first="Brian" last="Brown"], 5-11, 150, Lutheran North, 2022</strong> Brown, a Southern Illinois commitment, completed 23 of 33 passes for 398 yards and five touchdowns and ran for 107 yards and a score in the Crusaders’ 50-36 win over visiting Bishop Miege (Kansas). <strong>QB [player_tooltip player_id="37580" first="Cooper" last="Brown"], 6-3, 200, Holt, 2022</strong> Brown completed nine of 11 passes for 196 yards and five touchdowns in a 54-6 win at Francis Howell Central. He tossed three touchdown passes in the first quarter as Holt built a 27-0 lead. For the season, Brown has completed 75 percent of his passes for 1,989 yards, with 26 touchdowns and four interceptions, and has rushed for 229 yards and six scores. <strong>WR [player_tooltip player_id="177946" first="Jobe" last="Bryant"], 6-0, 160, Park Hills Central, 2024</strong> Bryant caught six passes for 95 yards and three touchdowns and also returned a fumble for a score in Central’s 69-26 win against visiting University City. In eight games this season, Bryant has 34 receptions for 768 yards and 12 total touchdowns, including two on returns. <strong>QB [player_tooltip player_id="37660" first="Christian" last="Cotton"], 5-11, 190, De Smet, 2023</strong> Cotton threw four touchdown passes and ran for three more in De Smet’s 48-21 win over rival St. Louis University High as the Spartans improved to 6-2. <strong>QB [player_tooltip player_id="96132" first="Brendan" last="Decker"], 5-11, 165, Owensville, 2022</strong> Decker completed 21 of 33 passes for 195 yards and four touchdowns (against one interception) and ran for 60 yards in Owensville’s 35-6 win against visiting Sullivan. His favorite target, WR <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="96169" first="Derek" last="Brandt"]</strong>, caught nine passes for 79 yards and a touchdown. In eight games, Decker has completed 60 percent of his passes for 1,660 yards, with 23 touchdowns and two interceptions, and rushed for 616 yards and six scores. <strong>ATH [player_tooltip player_id="37535" first="Cameron" last="Epps"], Chaminade, 2022</strong> An Oklahoma State commitment, Epps rushed 26 times for 250 yards and two touchdowns in the Red Devils’ 42-12 win over visiting Lift For Life. He also added four tackles and a sack. Epps has accounted for 18 total touchdowns in eight games. He has rushed for 780 yards and 12 touchdowns, passed for 225 yards and three scores (with three interceptions) and caught seven passes for 162 yards and two scores. He also has 36 tackles and a sack from his cornerback spot and is averaging 41.9 yards per punt. <strong>RB [player_tooltip player_id="37528" first="Arlen" last="Harris Jr"], 5-11, 200, Lutheran St. Charles, 2022</strong> A Stanford commitment, Harris scored seven touchdowns in the Cougars’ 67-0 win at Lutheran South. He turned 11 carries against South into 301 yards and six rushing touchdowns and also returned a punt 76 yards for a touchdown. In eight games, Harris has racked up 1,271 yards (1,007 rushing, 264 receiving) and 22 touchdowns. <strong>WR [player_tooltip player_id="171955" first="Kevon" last="Jacobs"], 5-9, 170, Lutheran North, 2022</strong> Jacobs caught 10 passes for 154 yards and two touchdowns in Lutheran North’s 50-36 win over visiting Bishop Miege (Kansas). For the season, Jacobs has 37 receptions for 630 yards and seven total touchdowns, including a rushing score. <strong>QB [player_tooltip player_id="215090" first="AJ" last="Raines"], 6-0, 160, Timberland, 2023</strong> Raines completed 14 of 30 passes for a season-high 339 yards, with three touchdowns and two interceptions, and rushed for 63 yards and a score in a 56-38 loss against visiting Francis Howell. Raines has thrown for 1,384 yards and 11 touchdowns and rushed for 659 yards and six scores in eight games. <strong>ATH [player_tooltip player_id="218483" first="Adonis" last="Whitley"], 5-7, 155, Ladue, 2023</strong> Whitley rushed five times for 160 yards and three touchdowns in a 58-0 win against visiting Riverview Gardens. <strong>RB [player_tooltip player_id="37741" first="Terrell" last="Peete"], 5-10, 165, Duchesne, 2023</strong> Peete scored four times in the Pioneers’ 62-0 win at Winfield. He rushed 12 times for 121 yards and three touchdowns and caught two passes for 46 yards and a score.
