Randolph: Scout Watch. Be sure to check out both to stay in tune with some of the best players in the North Alabama Area.
Will Stokes RB Madison Academy
Stokes served as the primary focus of Madison Academy’s attack, and for a good reason. Stokes would finish with five touchdowns and completely took over the game. His speed was on full display with 2 20+ yard runs that led to touchdowns. Stokes shows excellent agility and a knack for making the first guy miss whenever the ball is in his hands. He also runs decisively and attacks gaps with a full head of steam. His agility pops out on screen as he does an excellent job of making defenders miss in small spaces. With 23 total touchdowns on, Stokes looks to cement his position as the top running back in the North Alabama area.
Andrew Hunter QB Randolph
Hunter accounted for the majority of the offensive production for Randolph (211 out of 267 total offensive yards) and managed to be the best player on the offensive end. Showed flashes of brilliance with off-platform throws, elusive when plays broke down, and solid arm strength. As a junior, he still has to put the pieces together, but that will come with more games and the development of the players around him. Should emerge as a solid prospect within the 2023 class.
Jailen Holmes WR Madison Academy
Madison Academy used Holmes all over the field vs. Randolph. His quickness and acceleration were utilized in the quick game and on special teams. He primarily uses his speed more so as a threat to open up short and intermediate routes. He does an excellent job of looking the ball in and coming back to the ball. One of the more elusive players in his class and almost always finds a way to make at least one defender miss.
Nic Strong Nic Strong 5'10" | 185 lbs | RB Randolph | 2023 State AL RB Randolph
Though Strong is listed as a running back, this game he played every down at receiver. This is impressive, being that he was his QB’s No.1 target throughout the night. He was highly influential in this role, tallying up five catches and 72 yards. His hands proved to be solid, and he showed the natural running back instinct once he turned field. As a junior, Strong should develop into an upper-echelon offensive prospect in the 2023 class with his versatility.
Mario Brewer CB Madison Academy
Very effective in bump and run coverage. Showed an ability to mirror the receiver and get his head around to make a play on the ball. Covered the deep route with awareness and timing making the receiver work on every rep. Did a good job of keeping his eyes on the quarterback when dropping into deep field coverage.
Frederick Wessel FS Randolph
Very physical at the point of attack and always seems to bring the fight to the ball carrier. Does a good job of wrapping up and maintaining his fundamentals while tackling. Shows good play reignition and an ability to diagnose tendencies. Does well in the open field situations. Shows a knack for erasing mistakes of other defenders.
Kenan Hameltt , OLB Madison Academy
Hamlett already has college size and a next level motor. Did a good job of flowing sideline to sideline using his speed to make plays on the ball. Does a good job at playing with anticipation in the run game. Seems to have a nose for the ball and always around the action. Hamlett is very athletic and plays both sides of the ball, but his defensive ability is what will get him to the next level. One of the better OLBs in the 2022 class.
