We’re highlighting the best defensive highlights from Friday’s Game of the Week.
Mason Sheron - Leo - LB - 6’0" 205 lbs
Not only did he have a huge night on offense, but he also had a big night on defense as well. He’s one of Leo’s most complete players and is the signal-caller on defense. He was flying all over the field and was able to blow up a few plays in the backfield. He continues to show elite athleticism on the field and gets better every week. He had 13 tackles, a sack, a tipped pass, and helped guide Leo to the win. Sheron is a great all-around football player and he had himself a game on Friday.

This game went down to the literal last second. We had 2 of the best teams in the area duking it out and right after Leo scored what would be the game-winning drive, East Noble needed a score. East Noble was driving and the time was ticking. East Noble had Carico wide open on a blown coverage and it would have won the game. Livingston got home and forced a sack which would end the game. The place went absolutely wild and Leo managed to hold on.
Aidan Sprague - East Noble - DB - 5’7" 155 lbs
This game was one of the best I’ve seen in a long time. Every play had something on the line. Sprague was able to get home on a punt and block the punt. Not only did he block the kick but he then recovered the ball on the 5-yard line which set up East Noble to score. Sprague also had a PBU in the endzone on 4th down to kill another Leo drive and prevent a score.

Right when Leo was driving again and about to score Munson helped East Noble get a huge stop. They brought Munson down inside the box to show blitz. They showed pressure right off the C gap and they came. Leo handed the ball off and Munson blew it up in the endzone. He was East Noble’s leading tackler on the night and helped stall that drive and force a FG. He finished the night with 10 tackles, 2 TFL, and a PBU.
