RB, Charles Kellom Charles Kellom 6'0" | 200 lbs | RB St. Xavier | 2022 OH , 6’0, 196, St. Xavier
The Senior RB had a phenomenal game on Friday night as he rushed for 108 and scored 4 TD as St. Xavier defeated LaSalle 49-14 as the Bombers improved to 7-1. It was his 4th 100 yard game in a row and his 5th this season. He shows excellent vision as he finds the open hole or cutback lane and once in the secondary, shows good acceleration with good ruggedness while running behind his pads. He shows very good contact balance to spin off attempted tackles from DB and LB and finishes by lowering his shoulder and falling forward for extra yardage and a first down. He is a great receiver as he shows the ability to run good routes and makes catches with his hands easily. Once the catch is made, he uses his very good play speed to outrun defenders for a long gain.
QB, Talon Fisher, 6’2, 200, Fairfield
The Sophomore signal caller had a great game last night as he threw for 252 yards and a TD while rushing for 81 yards and 3 TD and as a result, Fairfield defeated Mason 27-22 to improve to 3-4 on the year. As a passer, he feels the pressure coming from his blindside and uses his very good athletic ability to escape the pocket. He keeps his eyes downfield the entire time, finds the open man and delivers an accurate strike to the WR coming across the middle on a crossing route for a first down. He is a dual threat at QB as he uses his very good play speed to outrun defenders for a long touchdown run.
RB, Evan Upchurch, 5’9, 150, Anderson
The Senior RB played well on Friday night as he rushed for 120 yards on 24 carries (5.0 ypc) and a TD. His play helped Anderson defeat Milford 35-7 and improve to 6-2 for the year and their 4th win in a row. He plays with very good vision as he quickly finds the open hole, shows good burst through the hole while playing at a low center of gravity while running behind his pads. He shows very good contact balance as he is able to break tackles from larger DB with ease and finishes the run by falling forward for a couple of extra yards and a first down.
WR, Jaleel Engleman, 5’11, 185, Princeton
The Junior WR was a big contributor on offense and on special teams. He had a 96 yard kick return for a TD while also scored on a 20 yard TD reception. His play helped Princeton defeat Sycamore 42-20 and improve to 7-1 on the year and their 4th win in a row. He plays predominantly as a slot WR but will also line up on the wing. He uses his very good play speed to get behind DB down the seam, adjusts his body to the ball and makes the catch with his hands easily. After the catch, he uses his good acceleration and powerful stiff arm as he gets to the end zone for the TD. He is an outstanding run blocker as he squares up, uses his hands well and displays very good play strength to drive the LB off the ball creating a running lane for the RB.
QB, Quaid Hauer, 6’2, 185, Wyoming
The Sophomore QB played great in week 8. He completed 8 of 10 passes for 142 yards and 3 touchdowns as Wyoming defeated Mariemont 40-9 to remain undefeated for the season and improve to 8-0. He quickly scans the entire field using his very good football intelligence to read the coverage and finds the open man. Delivers the deep ball with very good accuracy and touch placing it on the correct shoulder which maximizes YAC.
