We’re highlighting some of the best defensive standouts from this past Friday in the Fort Wayne Area.
Alex Thomas - Angola - MLB - 6’0" 170 lbs
Thomas is shaping up as one of the best LBs in the area and he’s just beginning his varsity career. He’s not going to miss many tackles and he’s as sure as they come. He was all over the field on Friday and he’s the leader of the defense. He finished the night with 12 tackles, 2 TFL, and 2 broken-up passes. Thomas is fun to watch and he’s only going to get better.

Landon Armstrong - DeKalb - MLB - 5’10" 225 lbs
Armstrong is a big LB and is always right by the ball it seems. He’s not the most dynamic player but he’s going to make the play when it comes. He laid a huge hit on Friday which forced a fumble. He wasn’t done yet because a ball was later fumbled again and Armstrong picked up the ball. He also finished the night with 11 tackles while leading the defense.
Marcus White-Allen - South Side - MLB - 6’1" 210 lbs
White-Allen is another big LB who likes to lay big hits. He’s not going to miss many tackles and he’s going to make the play when it comes his way. He was able to force a fumble and recover it in the middle of the game right when Homestead got into the redzone. South Side needed a big play and a break for the defense and Marcus delivered.
