Gavin Crawford – Taft – RB/WR – 5’10″ 180 lbs
Crawford lines up all over the field for Taft and it’s because he’s a true weapon. He’s great with the ball in his hands and he’s going to make something out of nothing. Friday was a typical day’s work for Crawford. Crawford put up over 150 scrimmage yards and a TD on the night. Taft found themselves in a dogfight and having Crawford on their team to give them some room was all they needed all night.
Mekhi Lynn Mekhi Lynn 6'2" | 185 lbs | QB Princeton | 2022 State OH – Princeton – QB – 6’3″ 185 lbs
Lynn came out and was on fire from the start. He’s one of the best mobile QBs in the state and he’s going to stress the defense all night. That’s exactly what he did Friday and he never missed a beat. He also has a big arm so when the defense comes crashing down he unleashes a deep shot. He rushed for 75-yards to add on top of his 200 passing yards and TD. He helped Princeton get the win and stay on track. They now move to 9-1 on the year.
CJ Hester CJ Hester 5'10" | 170 lbs | RB Cincinnati Wyoming | 2023 State OH – Wyoming – RB – 5’10″ 170 lbs
Hester put on another ridiculous performance on Friday and surpassed the 2,000-yard mark on the year. He broke open the scoring with a 10-yard TD where the entire pile pushed him and he slowly crossed the line. The next one, there was no doubt. Hester busted a long 65-yard TD run where he bounced it outside to the C gap and hit the gas. He was gone and no one was catching him. Wyoming remains undefeated on the year.
Pierce Taylor – McNicholas – QB – 5’11″ 160 lbs
Taylor was decent on Friday but he struggled some. He was hot and cold to start but then he got going after halftime. He came out confident and was dealing strikes all over the field. He knew where to put the ball and was on time as well. He threw 2 TDs in the second half as the Rockets fell short for the first time this year. Taylor still put up over 250 scrimmage yards and the 2 TDs on the night.
Carter Russo – Badin – RB – 5’9″ 170 lbs
Badin’s run game was elite on Friday and they were able to literally run over McNicholas because of it. Russo was the lead back and he was making defenders look silly all night. He was cutting on a dime, catching balls out of the backfield, and moving the chains on a regular basis. He put up over 150-yards and 2 TDs on the night as the Rams rolled the Rockets 48-21.
