AJ Murphy, RB, Casteel ’22
Murphy had a huge night on the 42-27 win over Higley, rushing for 384 yards and 5 TD’s. Murphy possesses solid vision all-around and physicality at the POC. He showed a nice burst through narrow lanes which allowed him to spring loose into the second level for big plays.
Serge Gboweiah Serge Gboweiah 5'10" | 180 lbs | RB Desert View | 2022 State AZ , RB, Desert View ’22
Gboweiah raked up 315 yards and 3 TD’s on 24 carries, putting on a clutch performance to aid in that 46-28 win over Marana. Sturdy back with solid balance and he does a good job accelerating vertical once he sees an open lane. He flashed good vision and lateral agility to bounce a few runs to the numbers to get himself into space, one of which went for about a 56 yard TD.
Jordan Wilson Jordan Wilson 5'10" | 190 lbs | RB Desert Ridge | 2022 AZ , RB, Desert Ridge ’22
Wilson ran for 272 yards and 2 TD’s to help Desert Ridge beat Cesar Chavez 44-23. Wilson flashes a nice initial burst and hits the hole with a purpose, and showcased a mean and angry running style. Good balance after contact to be able to stay up and pick up extra chunks of yards. He showed a good low pad level at the POC along with physicality, and proved to be an effective back both in between the tackles and on the edges if he decides to bounce runs outside.
Isaac Stopke Isaac Stopke 6'0" | 215 lbs | RB Lake Havasu | 2023 State AZ , RB, Lake Havasu ’23
Stopke was a stud on both sides of the ball, and had himself a 302 yard, 4 TD night to beat Mohave 35-6. He sizes up with a great frame and build at 6’0″ 215lbs and is a mean and physical ball carrier with a willingness to break initial contact and run through opponents. On top of his physicality, he also possesses solid speed in space to finish those long runs to the endzone, providing him with instant big play ability in 4A ball.
Deyon Bradley, RB, Moon Valley ’23
Bradley flashed his workhorse ability on Friday night, getting 41 carries while racking up 268 yards and a TD. He was also able to take a kick return to the house as well. He flashed a good low pad level at the POC on a few runs to get lower than his opponent to pick up a few extra yards. He showed legit toughness with that 41 carry workload, and was often an ankle tackle away from more big plays.
