Loyola offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id="141902" first="Sam" last="Yoon"] verbally committed to UCLA on Wednesday.
Yoon is 6-foot-5, 280 pounds and can plays best as a tackle. He chose UCLA over Cal, Colorado, USC and an Ivy League school (Harvard) among others.
He took an unofficial visit to UCLA in June and attended both home games this season. He told 247Sports that he loved being at the game against LSU and it widened the gap between UCLA and the other programs.
Yoon is the first offensive lineman in UCLA’s class of 2022 recruiting class and the ninth player overall from California in the class. UCLA has the No. 6 ranked recruiting class in the Pac 12 according to 247Sports.

One of the top running backs in the state announced his commitment to San Diego State this week.
[player_tooltip player_id="25271" first="Max" last="Garrison"] of St. Francis (La Canada) is the No. 6 ranked running back in the state according to Prep Redzone and is heading south to play for the Aztecs.
Despite being an elite high school running back, San Diego State likes him as a safety and he knows that.
He had nine other offers including Arizona State, Kansas, Texas and Washington State among others. He is the third defensive back in San Diego State’s 2022 recruiting class, joining [player_tooltip player_id="25264" first="Josh" last="Hunter"] (Mater Dei) and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="143116" first="Chris" last="Johnson"]</strong> (Roosevelt of Corona).

Mater Dei edge rusher [player_tooltip player_id="142010" first="Ta’ita’i" last="Uiagalelei"] announced his commitment to Washington State on Tuesday.
His other two offers were from UNLV and Utah State. Washington State was the only Power 5 conference school to offer the 6-foot-4, 255 pound senior.
Uiagalelei visited Washington State over the weekend and committed shortly after. He is the cousin of Clemson quarterback DJ Uiagalelei and St. John Bosco recruit [player_tooltip player_id="25456" first="Matayo" last="Uiagalelei"]. He did not play organized football prior to arriving at Mater Dei.
He is the second player from California in Washington State’s recruiting class, joining [player_tooltip player_id="25256" first="Taariq" last="Al-Uqdah"] of Inglewood.

Dana Hills quarterback <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="187268" first="Bo" last="Kelly"]</strong> received his first scholarship offer from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo this week.
Kelly is a guy who averages around 300 yards per game for the Dolphins. He also plays baseball at Dana Hills
His head coach Tony Henney, was formerly an assistant coach at Cal Poly.

Lincoln (San Diego) defensive back <strong>Josiah Cox</strong> picked up his first scholarship offer from Oregon State.
Cox is a lengthy safety at 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds and plays in one of the best secondaries in the state.
He plays pretty well in man coverage, is a very good tackler and can line up in the box if needed depending on the scheme.
Cox is also a track athlete at Lincoln where he runs the 400 meter relay and 1600 meter relay.
