Bryson Hill- Rome (RB)
Even though Hill may be less known to the masses, his performance this weekend may have helped to put his name out there even more. In Friday’s win against Carrollton, Hill rushed for 208 yards and 4 TD’s. In addition to this, he also recorded a TD, only solidifying the fate of Carrollton High, who lost 45-27.
[player_tooltip player_id="95160" first="Damari" last="Alston"]- Woodward Academy (RB)
In his team’s win this past Friday, Alston remained a big part of their success as he rushed for 3 TD’s, and 173 yards. To add to this, Alston also recorded about 45 receiving yards, and had one receiving TD, making him a lethal threat on both the air, and ground last week.
[player_tooltip player_id="137488" first="Sammy" last="Brown"]- Jefferson (RB)
Not only did Brown do major damage to the opposing team, but he almost single-handedly defeated Flowery Branch on his own. On only 15 carries, he ran for over 130 yards, and 3 TD’s. If he can continue to play like this as the year progresses, he will undoubtedly help his team to further success.
Neko Fann- Colquitt County (QB)
In their 52-7 win over Warner Robins, Fann continued to play with excellence, and cap off another good week this season with 291 passing yards, and 4 TD’s. This has helped him to average about 148 yards a game. In total, he has already thrown for over 743 yards, and has thrown 12 total TD’s.
[player_tooltip player_id="33861" first="Travis" last="Hunter"]- Collins Hill (DB / WR)
One should not be surprised that Hunter made his way to this list. It is pretty normal for him to find himself on lists such as this due to his status of being the best player in the state, and one of the best overall prospects in the country. Not only did he help his team get a 34-0 win over East Coweta, but he also recorded 11 receptions for about 120 yards. In this game, he also had an interception return for 70 yards.
[player_tooltip player_id="34049" first="Kayin" last="Lee"]- Cedar Grove (DB)
Not only did [player_tooltip player_id="34049" first="Kayin" last="Lee"] and Cedar Grove get the 17-0 win against Carver Atlanta, but his performance alone helped to alter the game in his team’s direction. In the game, he alone totaled 2 interceptions and a forced fumble, making for a strong defensive performance for his team.
[player_tooltip player_id="95445" first="Mumu" last="Bin-Wahad"]- Grayson (DB)
Just like [player_tooltip player_id="34049" first="Kayin" last="Lee"], Bin-Wahad also had a strong defensive performance of his own as he totaled 2 interceptions, with one of them being a pick six. Unfortunately though, this was not enough, as Grayson sustained their second loss of the season as they fell 28-14 to Mill Creek.
Jordan Stubbs- Perry (DE)
Perhaps one of our favorite performances from week 6 came from DE, Jordan Stubbs, as he not only blocked a punt in his team’s 49-7 win over Rutland, but he also returned it for a TD. If he can manage to pull off any plays remotely close to what he did on Friday, he is bound to have a big season.
