Week 1 definitely did not disappoint as the majority of teams in the state got on the field for this first time this year. Week 2 has now rolled around and movement has occured among the top 10 teams in the state already. Let’s take a look at the Week 2 Power Rankings:
1. Oak Grove (0-0)
The Warriors did not get to open their 6A title defense last week due to moving to virtual learning. Coach Causey and his bunch will open their campaign this week at home.
This week: vs. Seminary
2. Oxford (1-0)
In traditional Oxford fashion, the Chargers fought back from an early deficit to Brandon last week coming back to win 24-17. [player_tooltip player_id="104475" first="Keegan" last="Wilfawn"], [player_tooltip player_id="106769" first="Alex" last="Sanford"] and Ben Goubeaux make up one of the state’s best linebacking corps.

4. Madison Central (1-0)
A 4th qtr TD gave Madison Central a win in Toby Collums head coaching debut for the Jags over West Jones last week and as a result MC moves up a spot in this weeks rankings. [player_tooltip player_id="108930" first="Vic" last="Sutton"] was solid with 3 TD’s last week.
