Vashon proved that they were the real “V-Side” team in St. Louis with an impressive 36-7 win over Vianney. The Wolverines came out on fire on defense to set the tone. Then, they immediately scored first on offense.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>
The Griffins attempted to get things going with their offense, but the Wolverines’ defense was able to hold the Griffins to one touchdown the whole game.

<strong>Vashon</strong>

The 5-foot-11, 185-pound athlete was too fast for the Griffins’ defense, and they didn’t have an answer on how to stop him in the passing game. Smith saw the end zone twice. The first one was a seam route, and the other was a corner. He also made a two-point conversion off of a jet sweep.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>
<strong>QB [player_tooltip player_id="177543" first="Malious" last="Cain"] c/o 24.</strong> Cain showed great leadership in his offense against Vianney. He was accurate in his throws, picking apart the whole Griffins’ defense. <strong>RB Dierre Hill Jr. c/o 23.</strong> Hill was the speedster of the Wolverines’ offense. He set the tone by scoring the first touchdown of the game. Hill is shifty and can change direction when needed.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>
<strong>DL [player_tooltip player_id="177542" first="T’Darrian" last="Owens"] c/o 24.</strong> Owens led the Wolverines’ defense on the line. With his size and strength, he was able to blow pass the Griffins’ offensive line to disrupt the run game.
<strong>Vianney<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></strong>

He scored the first touchdown for Vianney off a fade route. Adair has great concentration when looking the ball in, and with his height, he is able to make great catches.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>
<strong>LB [player_tooltip player_id="171962" first="Turner" last="Hunsaker"] c/o 24.</strong> Hunsaker was a tackling machine against Vashon. He led his whole team in tackles, accumulating 11 total, and pursued to the ball every time.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>Hunsaker’s hustle was outstanding when he was on the field.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>
