Top Performers from Lumen Christi vs Northwest

Lumen Christi Titans defeated the Northwest Mounties on Friday night. Several players from both teams had standout performances offensively. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="99298" first="Nicholas" last="Wilson"] </strong>| RB | Lumen Christi | 2022 Wilson has good vision and the speed to break long runs at the running back position. Wilson had multiple touchdowns runs in the game. You had the feeling that Wilson had the chance to take it the distance every time he touched the football. Lumen had several guys make plays against Northwest, but Wilson’s play may have stood out the most. <strong>Cole Simpson</strong> | WR/RB/LB | Lumen Christi | 2022 | <a href="http://www.hudl.com/v/2FnMWM">Hudl</a> Every time I usually know a couple of key players from both teams. Cole Simpson was not a guy that I was well aware of yet. Simpson stood out in the best way possible. He made plays on the offensive side of the football. Simpson is a tremendous athlete who not only has great speed but has great strength as well. Cole Simpson had some tough runs on offense. On the defensive side of the ball, he was all over the field. Simpson recently received an offer from DePauw University. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="30232" first="Isaiah" last="Grybauskas"] </strong>| QB/DB | Northwest | 2022 Grybauskas had a solid night on the offensive side of the football. He had some good runs and pass completions. Grybauskas really did a great job on defense for Northwest. He made several impressive open-field tackles. On a night where you are playing a fast athletic team like Lumen Christi, you need defensive backs to make those tackles. Grybauskas did just that defensivley, even forcing a fumble. <strong>Sam Putnam </strong>| DL/OL | Lumen Christi | 2022 Putnam was disruptive all night for Lumen Christi's defensive line. He had a key sack in the first quarter that stopped a promising Northwest drive. Putnam also helped put an end to a Northwest drive with a big-time tackle for loss. <strong>Alfredo Mendoza </strong>| DL/OL | Northwest | 2022 Mendoza plays with great strength on the defensive line. He made an outstanding stop at the goal line early in the game. Mendoza quickly got off his block and stood the running back up in the hole. <strong>Colin Morrow</strong> | WR/RB/LB | Lumen Christi | 2022 | <a href="http://www.hudl.com/v/2FnJY4">Hudl</a> Morrow had an explosive 58- yard run early in the game for the Titans. Morrow is another one of Lumen Christi's players who shined on both sides of the football. Morrow recorded a sack in the game and was also part of a quarterback hit that led to a forced fumble. Collin Morrow's play will be crucial to the success of the Titans this season. More plays like he had in this game will be key for a Lumen Christi playoff run.
