What has now become one of the most exciting parts of any football week – the accolades.
The players who step up and make all that hard work pay off during a season where things continue to change.
Because many of these young men have been hidden from colleges and universities because of Covid and other related things.
While we promote prospects on a daily basis here at <strong><em>Prep Redzone Florida</em></strong>, what we also do is highlight the top performers each week during the football season.
By spotlighting these prospects weekly, college coaches have an opportunity to watch what these impressive athletes to from week to week.
Here are some head-turners from this week:
Wiregrass Ranch QB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="50138" first="Rocco" last="Becht"]</strong> completed 12 passes for 312 yards and 5 touchdowns. Also, senior DE <strong>Steven Prevaux </strong>had 8 tackles (5 solo), forced fumble and two QB hurries.
Lake Mary remained unbeaten as senior standout QB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="50174" first="Gunnar" last="Smith"]</strong> finished with 18 completions for 302 yards and 3 touchdowns in a win over Dr. Phillips. <strong>Logan Cook</strong> caught 4 passes for 142 yards and scored on receptions of 67, 32 and 26 yards.
Behind the quarterback play of <strong>Clayton Philpot</strong> and the scoring pass catches of <strong>Kamarion Griffin</strong> and <strong>Darren Clark</strong>, Fort White moved to 3-1 with a 27-19 win over Branford.
Jupiter Christian 2026 QB <strong>Jorris Shephard</strong> threw for 5 touchdowns in his first ever varsity appearance. Three of those scores went to <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="128630" first="Jeremiah" last="Augustin"].</strong>
Orlando Timber Creek's <strong>Ryan Campbell</strong> returned a kickoff nearly 99 yards to spark a 28-point run during 31-14 win over Oviedo.
Miami Gulliver Prep 2023 WR <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="127993" first="Jalen" last="Brown"]</strong>, one of the nation's best, caught 2 touchdown passes and was a force once again for the undefeated Raiders.
Orange City University QB <strong>Adan Figueroa</strong> got it done both as a passer and rusher, helping the Titans get off to a 4-0 start. He threw for 129 yards (8 of 13) and ran for 157 yards on 14 carries.
Foundation Academy's <strong>Braden Holcomb</strong>, known for what he does on the baseball field, caught a TD pass and snagged an interception in a win.
<strong>Colin King</strong>, 6-5, 300, left tackle from Port Orange Spruce Creek, continued to be a catalyst up front.
Wildwood Class of 2025 standout QB <strong>Jonathan “Jon Jon” Harding</strong> was 13/17 for 216 yards, 5 TDs, 0 interceptions against Atlantic.
<strong>Mike Villanueva</strong>, LB, Miami Christopher Columbus had 14 total tackles, 1 sack, 1 QB pressure in a tough loss to Miami Palmetto.
Miami Belen Jesuit 2025 <strong>Davion Dixon</strong> had 11 tackles, 1 sack and forced a fumble in just three quarters. One of the top players in his class.
Defending 1A state champion Baker must like playing close games – and this week's 43-42 decision over Northview will back up. Once again the Gators were carried by <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="128424" first="Kayleb" last="Wagner"],</strong> who followed up his record-breaking 535-yard performance last week with another dominant display with over 400 yards. Wagner went toe-to-toe with Northview running back <strong>Jamarkus Jefferson</strong>, who scored five touchdowns — including the Chiefs overtime score.
Land O' Lakes QB <strong>Kyle Horvath</strong> completed 14 passes for 344 yards and 4 scores and WR <strong>Kenen Ayala</strong> had 4 receptions, 197 yards, TD in the 28-26 win against Sunlake to remain unbeaten at 4-0.
Quarterback <strong>Addie Moore</strong> carried the ball 17 times for 194 yards and three scores and added 81 yards through the air to lead state-rated Niceville over Tallahassee Godby. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="128423" first="Micah" last="Turner"], Azareyeh Thomas, Byrd</strong> <strong>Pope</strong> and <strong>Demontre Allen</strong> all made an impact.
With the play of <strong>Kemper Hodges, [player_tooltip player_id="128011" first="Pearce" last="Spurlin"]</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="108649" first="Cade" last="Roberts"]</strong>, South Walton rolled over Panama City Bay, 42-7.
Tampa Bay Tech remained unbeaten as senior RB <strong>Ronald Sims</strong> had three of the Titans' four touchdowns in a win over Tampa Gaither.
<strong>DJ Escort</strong> ran for 170 on 16 carries, including 96 yards on six carries in the fourth quarter before departing with an injury. <strong>Ryan Browne</strong> threw for 268 yards, 162 to <strong>Omari Hayes</strong>, who had 11 catches.
The 38th edition of the Martin Bowl saw Martin County's <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="128364" first="Paul" last="Boisvert"]</strong> score two first half touchdowns and two QB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="50173" first="Jaxon" last="Scott"]</strong> touchdown passes in a 33-0 win over South Fork.
Vero Beach QB <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="50203" first="Maurice" last="Smith"] Jr</strong>. threw four touchdown passes and running back <strong>Reggie Ferguson</strong> ran for a score in a 48-16 win over Fort Pierce Westwood. Smith, against his former teammates, went 14-for-17 for 192 yards and had three of his touchdown passes in the first half as Vero raced out to a 41-8 halftime advantage.
