- Record
- Key players on the roster
- Week to week performance
- Panel Survey
- Strength of schedule
- Coach prestige
Leagues covered:
- Three Rivers Athletic Conference
- Toledo City League
- Northern Lakes League
As the season goes on, I’ll add more leagues in the area as I continue to study more about them (TAAC, SBC, NBC, and more)
Three Rivers Athletic Conference
- Central Catholic (1-2)
The fighting Irish took two losses out the gate to Lakewood St. Edwards and Cleveland Benedictine, who have a combined record of 6-0 thus far. Central is the defending league champs and will remain that until knocked off. They take on a tough and talented Findlay team to start league play.
2. Fremont Ross (3-0)
The Little Giants have not gone 3-0 to start a season in 10 years! The red hot team is lead by QB Kaden Holmes Kaden Holmes 5'11" | 170 lbs | QB Fremont Ross | 2023 State OH who tossed up 7 touchdown passes in a home game over rival Sandusky (2-1). Fremont will take on Clay week one of league play.
3. Whitmer (2-1)
The Panther’s victories came over the Start Spartans and Holland Springfield with a combined record (0-6). QB Kevin Hornbeak has been outstanding thus far. They will be without Steven McCoy Steven McCoy 5'9" | 190 lbs | RB Whitmer | 2022 OH for a few weeks as he was dominant early in the season. Whitmer will play St Francis this week.
4. St. John’s Jesuit (2-0)
The Titans have only played 2 games this season due to the week one game vs. Waite being canceled to covid. SJJ’s defense has been up for the challenge, and the first-year QB Blake Lichtenberg Blake Lichtenberg 6'1" | 185 lbs | QB Toledo St. John's | 2023 State OH has been timely in the 4th QT in both outings. St. Johns will take on Lima Senior this week.
5. Findlay (2-1)
The Trojans struggled against Perrysburg to stop the run game, which became a clear area for improvement. In-game three, Findlay decided to debut 2025 QB Ryan Montgomery in a blowout victory over Bowling Green. Findlay will take on the reigning champs, Central Catholic.
6. Lima Senior (1-1)
The Spartans were a buzzsaw in week one vs. Toledo Bowsher (0-3) and became the prey in week 3 vs. Springfield (2-0). Lima has a lot of talent, but we will see if they can bring it together vs. St John’s in week one of league play.
7. St. Francis (2-1)
The Knights have found a way to win in the clutch. Coaching has played a role in how this team could win late in games and stay in them. SFS vs. Whitmer has become a local rivalry game and should give us a good indication of the state of both programs.
8. Clay (2-1)
Jordan Pettaway and the Eagles have found a way to win non-conference games, but they must now prove they can win in the league. This football team has the ability to upset a team if you don’t prepare for them; this team is not bad, just in a good league. Clay will try their hand with Fremont Ross in week one of league play.
