Strake Jesuit’s Formation!

<p class="p1"><span class="s1">On Friday September 3rd, 2021 Strake Jesuit College Preparatory played against C.E Kings High School. Both teams played well it took a little more time for Strake to warm up then C.E Kings. However, once they did they were playing evenly with C.E Kings. However, Strake Jesuit couldn’t catch up in time. C.E Kings won the score was 35-27. I will be talking about Strake Jesuit’s firepower. </span></p> <p class="p3"><span class="s2">#11 [player_tooltip player_id="60754" first="Leland" last="Smith"] WR, TE 6’4 Sr 195 lbs</span></p> <p class="p3"><span class="s2">One thing I can say about tight end [player_tooltip player_id="60754" first="Leland" last="Smith"] is that he’s a play maker. Whenever Strake Jesuit was in a panic or desperate situation they always threw the ball Leland. Leland is tall and has a big frame. It was obvious to throw him the ball during clutch time. I believe if Leland worked on his speed and getting faster he’ll be an unstoppable threat. Leland ended the game with ten catches, 210 yards and two touchdowns </span></p> <p class="p3"><span class="s2">#25 Giacomo Valente RB, MLB 6’0 Jr 200 lbs</span></p> <p class="p3"><span class="s2">Giacomo Valente was a strong supportive running back for Strake Jesuit. Whenever Giacomo got the chance to run the ball he always left an impact. Not the fastest, but he left a lot of intensity and passion in his runs. I’m sure Giacomo is still going to getting bigger in the next year or two. If he also improves his speed and agility Giacomo will be an outstanding player. Giacomo was able to rush in one touchdown.</span></p> <p class="p3"><span class="s2">#18 [player_tooltip player_id="131437" first="Thomas" last="Jewett"] TE</span></p> <p class="p3"><span class="s2">[player_tooltip player_id="131437" first="Thomas" last="Jewett"] is another outstanding tight end. Thomas used his height and built to properly catch the ball and block the defender when needed. Thomas was very persistent in blocking and running. You can tell how committed Thomas was giving every ounce of strength to his team. Thomas was also able to score one touchdown. </span></p> <p class="p3"><span class="s2">#1 [player_tooltip player_id="133196" first="Craig" last="Royal"] CB, FS 6’1 Sr 170 lbs</span></p> <p class="p3"><span class="s2">#1 [player_tooltip player_id="133196" first="Craig" last="Royal"] stood out the most on Strake Jesuit’s defense. Craig wasn’t afraid of being physical aggressive up close. Craig was able to stop most of C.E Kings pass play even thought they implemented a run heavy game. Craig showed off his catching skills by catching an interception, but unfortunately a roughing the passer foul made it null and void. </span></p> <p class="p3"><span class="s2">#9 Marc Arsham DE 6’3 Sr 225 lbs</span></p> <p class="p3"><span class="s2">Marc Arsham was a big threat to the C.E King offense. Marc is a defensive end a great one at that. Marc is a big body last known measure being 6’3 in height and 225 in weight. Marc know how’s to properly use his size effective to stop C.E Kings overwhelming run plays. Not only was Marc strong, but quick off the ball as well. One of the major components of Strake being able to compete was due to Marc’s aggressiveness. </span></p>
