The St. Frances Academy Panthers played nearly a perfect game against Good Counsel, winning 50-7, and it can’t be a coincidence that St. Frances suffered a huge upset loss to the Falcons this past Spring. The Panthers certainly got their revenge in this contest, and on both sides of the ball they looked as dominant as any team in Maryland right now. St. Frances has one of the most difficult schedules in high school football this year, and they’ll look to prove their dominance once again this Friday in California against De La Salle. Expect nothing but fireworks when these two national elites clash head to head under the Friday night lights. For now, let’s take a look at the top performers from the Panthers’ victory over Good Counsel.
St. Frances Academy 50
2022 5’10 190 RB – [player_tooltip player_id="90522" first="Terron" last="Kellman"]
As he often does, [player_tooltip player_id="90522" first="Terron" last="Kellman"] opened up the scoring in this contest with a big play. Quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="90510" first="John" last="Griffith"] tossed Kellman a short ball, and the running back was able to do the rest of the work as he juked and shifted his way around defenders and into the end zone. Kellman is proving himself game by game as one of the most dominant running backs in the entire state and maybe even the nation. This Friday against De La Salle is the perfect time for [player_tooltip player_id="90522" first="Terron" last="Kellman"] to showcase his skills on a national platform, and there’s no doubt that he’s going to have a huge game. [player_tooltip player_id="90522" first="Terron" last="Kellman"] is the real deal and he’s an elite D1 talent.

2022 6’0 190 RB – Durell Robinson
Durell Robinson was the offensive MVP for the Panthers in this contest, and the reason is because of his average yards per carry. It seemed like every time he touched the ball it was at least a first down, and he also scored two touchdowns for St. Frances. With both Durell Robinson and [player_tooltip player_id="90522" first="Terron" last="Kellman"] in the backfield, the St. Frances offense is as unstoppable as any team in the nation. Watch out for Durell Robinson to continue his breakout Senior season against De La Salle.

2022 6’1 285 DL – [player_tooltip player_id="137170" first="Cornell" last="Evans"]
The play of the game in this contest should most certainly be awarded to [player_tooltip player_id="137170" first="Cornell" last="Evans"]. Evans ran a fumble recovery back fifty yards for the touchdown, which put St. Frances up three touchdowns, and the play essentially sealed the game for the Panthers. [player_tooltip player_id="137170" first="Cornell" last="Evans"] is a relentless pass rusher and he really showcased his skills against a very worthy Good Counsel offensive line. The De La Salle offensive line certainly has their hands full this Friday when [player_tooltip player_id="137170" first="Cornell" last="Evans"] and the St. Frances Academy defensive line comes to town.

Good Counsel 7
2023 6’5 230 QB – [player_tooltip player_id="146654" first="Neeo" last="Avery"]
[player_tooltip player_id="146654" first="Neeo" last="Avery"] is arguably the most talented young quarterback in the WCAC, and the reason is because of his dual threat capabilities. Avery scored the lone touchdown for the Falcons using his legs and physical strength to muscle his way through defenders and into the end zone. While Avery didn’t have his greatest game throwing the football, it must be made clear that the St. Frances Academy secondary played nearly a perfect game which rendered Good Counsel receivers useless. There’s no doubt that [player_tooltip player_id="146654" first="Neeo" last="Avery"] and the Good Counsel offense will bounce back in a big way this upcoming Saturday against Mount St. Joseph’s.
