[player_tooltip player_id="45038" first="Dane" last="Benedix"], Capistrano Valley, 2022
It was easy to track of who had great numbers in the 67-47 game between Orange and Capo Valley. Benedix set a school-record in receiving yards with 297 on 12 catches with three touchdowns. Capo Valley is an old school that has had prolific quarterbacks so for Benedix to break a record there is very impressive. He has elite speed and is strong enough to break tackles. He is the best overall player in the Sea View League in my opinion.

Alonzo Brown, Eisenhower, 2022
Eisenhower won its first game of the season two weeks ago against crosstown foe Rialto and followed that with a 49-28 win over Kaiser. Brown had a huge day receiving for the Eagles, hauling in eight balls for 180 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Through five games Brown already has 637 yards receiving with seven touchdowns and will surely be a 1,000 yard receiver this season.

Mathew Carpintero, Hueneme, 2022
Hueneme was on a two-game losing streak and got a nice 20-0 win over Burroughs in week four. Carpintero scored all three touchdowns for the Vikings in the win. He caught four passes for 115 yards and three touchdowns. He has had over 100 yards in all but one game this season and in that one game he had 95 yards. He is very fun to watch on tunnel screens where he cuts through the defense and just outruns people.

[player_tooltip player_id="25400" first="Jalen" last="Lewis"], Oaks Christian, 2023
Oaks Christian is off to a nightmare start but they may be the best 0-5 team in recent history for what it’s worth. The Lions hung with Damien of La Verne last week in a 28-23 loss. A major reason the game was competitive was because Lewis made some big plays, including an 80-yard touchdown catch. He caught 9 passes for 139 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He has an offer from Washington State and drawn interest from Cincinnati and Washington.

Tec Nunez, Baldwin Park, 2023
Baldwin Park continued its undefeated start of the season with a 35-0 win over Rosemead. Nunez had a monster game for the Braves, catching seven passes for 268 yards and a touchdown. The 268 yards were a career-high for Nunez who had 257 yards and three touchdowns against Nogales in Baldwin Park’s season-opener.
